ANTIQUE FRENCH LARGE LINEN HAND EMBROIDERED PILLOW EN FRANCE

Fabulous old large white French pillow case.  Framed by  lines of small very decorative   jours.  In one corner there is a fabulous hand embroidered  letters, monogram with the letter U C.  I am sorry but I took the photos at a different angle to start with as I thought the monogram was ND! Gorgeous and white.  This lovely pillow case is in light white cool linen. On the reverse, a third of the way down, is the place to insert the pillow with buttons to fasten.   Pillow size approx (laid flat) 26 1/2" x 26" (67  x 66cm) with a border of 1 3/4" (4.5cm) Lovely condition.  It is bright and white.  I cannot see any faults! (please see note re linens etc below)  *Important - It must be remembered that old French linens and alike were usually very well kept and stored in fabulous grand armoires. It must also be remembered that these are old antique items were used and often show the passage of time - but generally we accept those little imperfections or marks... so please keep this in mind when you buy old French linens... normally a wash through will rid of any marks or odours from long storage and some stubborn marks will probably benefit from modern stain removal products, however some marks may remain.*  Please note This item is Antique or vintage French. The charm of another era. It has lived a story. It was therefore used or has been in storage a very long time. Despite all my time and attention in preparation and checking, a detail can always escape me.
