BEAUTIFUL exemplary of this classic Bessamatic CS camera that comes in overall EXC conditions: cosmetics are super nice with shiny chromes; shutter fires at all speeds (including 1s that sounds good and self-timer that does still work); light meter is untested as I have no longer any battery to do so; viewfinder is clean with some few usual specs of dust inside. The Septon lens looks great as well, with no scratch/no fungus/no haze and very smooth focusing (to be noticed a very light separation on the edge); comes with its original Voigt front cap. Also included are 2 Voigt brochures (EXC), 3 filters 54mm (Focar B, Medium yellow & orange - EXC) in boxes (VGC), 1 collapsible rubber hood Cenei (EXC), the camera leather case (not pictured but in VGC). And what most of my friends said: "can you build one for me ?" Call that a market study... Why do audiophiles do not like the sound of current oversampling DACs ? Oversampling DACs are textbook correct, right ? So they should sound perfect, no ? Well... While it is true that oversampling DACs are textbook correct, if you make the wrong assumptions about the human hearing system, you may end up making mistakes, even if you do the math right ! Let me give you a simple example: it is generally assumed we hear the spectrum of sounds, but can't hear the phase. Now try "binaural beats" on Google and listen for yourself. These clearly show the phase information IS sensed, AND remains present far inside the brain. So maybe the spectrum-only approach to DAC design is not telling the whole story... Traditional non-oversampling DACs from the past did not make any assumptions about hearing mechanisms, they just tried to replicate in analog what you fed them digitally as closely as possible... Hello,  (français en dessous) I am selling this very nice lens of mine, the famous Leica Elmarit 28mm aspherical f 2.8. It is factory coded for using it on digital M bodies (m8, m9, m10)... This lens is well known for being almost distortion free and bitingly sharp.  I am selling it with original box, hood, leather pouch, rear cap and user guide. My lens has been living a little but is still very well preserved. I always use my lenses with great care.  The lenses are beautiful. No fungus, no haze, no scratch, and diaphragm blades are free of oil. Focusing ring is buterly smooth and aperture ring is well clicky.  There is a tiny bit of use signs on the paint, mostly on the edges of aperture ring (see the pictures) We can also see some very faint circular lines inside the lens (see the 11th picture). It is a common thing, the glue is ageing. But it doesn't produce any defect on picture and will never ever show in any situation. I recieved it like this, and it hasn't moved a bit since. Last thing to be mentioned, the hood is missing one of the push lock. But it is still quite easy to put it in and out... Anyway, I usually never remove the hood once it is on:)  All in all, this lens is a great image maker for its size... With a very fair price for a Leica lens!  A very nice gift for Christmas;)  Best regards !  En français: Je vends ce bel objectif, le célèbre Leica Elmarit 28 mm  ASPH 1:2.8. C'est la version codée d'usine pour une utilisation sur boitier M numérique. Cet objectif est reconnu pour ne présenter presque pas de distorsion et un piqué exceptionnel.  Je le vends avec sa boîte, le pare-soleil, l'ettui en cuir, le capuchon arrière et le mode d'emploi.  Les lentilles sont superbes. Pas de champignon, pas de voile, pas de griffure, les lamelles de diaph sont parfaites. La mise au point est douce et onctueuse, et la bague de diaph est parfaitement crantée.  On voit de petits manques de peinture sur la périphérie, la plupart dans les angles de la bague de diaph.  On peut aussi observer des lignes circulaires blanches très fines à l'intérieur (11eme photo). Rien d'anormal, il s'agit du vieillissement d'un peu de colle. Mais cela ne se voit absolument pas sur les photos, quelles que soient les conditions lumineuses. J'ai reçu l'objectif comme cela et cela n'a pas bougé d'un poil depuis.  Dernier point à mentionner, l'un des deux poussoirs du pare soleil est manquant. Cela ne gêne en rien l'insertion et désinsertion. Et dans tous les cas, le pare soleil a tendance à rester accrocher à l'objectif une fois installé:)  Une excellent optique, aux performances époustouflantes pour sa si petite taille. Leica M Summicron 50mm F/2 Version II Rigid This lens is 58 years old, it was made in 1962 !  I used it mainly on Leica M3 and Leica M9 Monochrom. It is a very interesting lens: sharp, medium range contrast and excellent bokeh. It works really well on black and white film and monochrome cameras, giving a vintage but clean look. I try to describe the lens as well as i can: This specimen is in great cosmetic condition and fully functional but it is not perfect: if looking very closely and carefully: - light signs of use can be seen on the barrel, - a micro bubble or micro dust (very common on these lenses) can be seen inside the lens if looking very closely, - if aiming the lens at certain angle under certain light (very difficult to show on a picture) micro scratches (cleaning marks) are also barely visible in the front element if aiming the lens. These are so thin, i didn't see them until recently os it's very difficult to show on a picture. Of course nothing impacts image quality There are very light signs of normal use, the lens is actually beautiful for its age, in better condition than most alternatives visible on even when asking for more money. No major scratch, no fungus, no haze, no separation, blades move freely, focussing is smooth The lens is sold with a generic third part front cap and the classic dedicated bubble case

Shuter is accurate at any speed. the meter is accurate but it happens to jump a little before metering.  The lens is clean inside and outside. Diaph.is snappy and clean. Some wearing traces, but overall beautiful condition (see pictures) Comes with lens cap, lens hood and a new battery.

This is a Voigtländer Alpin camera for 9x12 cm plates, built by 1910's. Tropicalised for using in outdoor condition. The camera is in used, but well preserved condition. The shutter is working at all speeds, but has not been tested for accuracy.  The lens is a Heliar 4.5 /135mm, in good condition, looks clear without scratches on the glass or haze inside. The bellows look good and light-tight and I can't see any pinholes. The camera has a double extension, with a rack-and-pinion system. The lens front can move up, down and shift left, right.  The focus screen back looks good, however there are stains on ground glass and repairs on the hood of the focus screen. Three plate holders, a Voigtländer film back, and a flexible trigger are included. To open the camera, just push the button on top, this pops up the viewfinder also.  Sometimes it closes with difficulty, make sure that the camera bed is shifted in as far as possible, and secure it by the lever beside the wheel. Electronic parts have been upgraded by Roger West himself to Toroid 2 level one month ago. I've made a custom wood frame to accomodate new transformers (which are too big to get inside the original frame). Speaker's impendance has been raised as well.   This is the only pair of A3 upgraded to Toroid 2 level worldwide (as Toroid 2 upgrade has never been made before for A3 speakers). New toroidal transformers and higher sensibility make them easy to drive with any decent amplifier. So, this particular pair of A3 is not only in a virtualy new condition, they also sound better than new. The sound can be described by one word only: glorious !  I have compared Soundlab A3 to Quad ESL 2912 and Stax ELS 8X in my room. Soundlab are MUCH better in every possible way. They have completely different sound dispersion pattern, which makes them sound more lively, more organic, more life-like, and more dynamic.
