Le disque intitulé « 461 Ocean Boulevard » est l'album studio du célèbre guitariste britannique Eric Clapton sorti en mars 1974. Ce disque marque un tournant dans sa carrière musicale puisqu'il s'agit de son premier album entièrement consacré au genre country après avoir été l'un des pionniers du blues rock avec les groupes Cream et Blind Faith. Ce disque est considéré comme l'un des meilleurs albums country jamais réalisés par un musicien rock anglais. Il a atteint la première place du Billboard 200 aux États-Unis et s'est vendu à plus d'un million d'exemplaires aux États-Unis seul. Ce succès s'explique notamment grâce aux collaborations avec des musiciens country tels que Carl Radle (basse), Dick Sims (claviers), Yvonne Elliman (chant) ou encore Bobby Keys (saxophone). Le disque contient des morceaux tels que « I Can't Hold Out », « Give Me Some Love », « Willie and the Hand Jive » ou encore « I Want You Badly ». Les textes traitent principalement de thèmes amoureux ou introspectifs typiques du genre country. Le son est très rythmé et mélodieux grâce aux contributions de Carl Radle et Bobby Keys qui apportent leur expérience du rhythm and blues. Le disque a été enregistré aux studios Miami Sound Studios à Miami Beach en Floride aux États-Unis.
