After searching myself for the "perfect" DAC, I stumbled on forum discussions about how these "vintage" DACs from Phillips® sounded so good. I was getting a little skeptical about those "natural" and "analog" statements for the sound of those converters, but as so many people seemed to make converging descriptions, I was left with the feeling it was not just a legend... I decided I had to build one, and try for myself ! As the result was more than surprising... I told myself: wow, I got to show that to my friends... And what most of my friends said: "can you build one for me ?" Call that a market study... Why do audiophiles do not like the sound of current oversampling DACs ? Oversampling DACs are textbook correct, right ? So they should sound perfect, no ? Well... While it is true that oversampling DACs are textbook correct, if you make the wrong assumptions about the human hearing system, you may end up making mistakes, even if you do the math right ! I sell a set of 2 JP-08 + all boxes and packing + paper manual + 1 midi cable + 1 audio cable + 2 power supply and USB cables + 2 brackets. The first JP-08 is in perfect condition. No scratches. Like new. The second one has some minor scratches due to a cable that was placed in the box by mistake.  These two JP-08 are working perfectly. So this set is ready for a full 8 voices JP-08 in chain mode like the original Jupiter 8. The first thing that strikes you when you see the JP-08 is how professional it looks and feels - it's a diminutive metal fronted, plastic box with sturdy feeling short throw, orange-lit sliders and solid dials. As the unit is so compact, it fits nicely into a small rucksack, giving you a lot of sonic power to work with. On the move, on sessions or on stage this is a real bonus. Selecting patches is done Jupiter-8 style, with eight preset buttons to the left (64 patches total) and eight patch presets (which contain upper/lower/dual patches) to the right which all glow a pinky-orange. Type in the patch you want and off you go, though there's no patch naming so you need to remember numbers. The Patch Number/Patch Preset buttons also work in combination with the Manual and Dual buttons to select hidden functions (as listed in the compact manual) and to choose from solo (legato mono) unison (stacked mono) and poly (4-voice chord) modes. The buttons also act as 16-step buttons for the sequencer. The sound is so fantastic ! The JP-08 Boutique is identical to the actual Roland Jupiter 8 in sound, and editing, capabilities.  It uses the acclaimed Boutique ACB (Analogue Circuit Behaviour) modelling technology to emulate the original Jupiter-8's circuitry and the way those circuits interact/behave.  Sonically, the JP-08 gets right in the ballpark of the original Jupiter-8 and displays that recognizable smooth yet gritty character in terms of its filters (HPF and 12/24dB LPF), modulation and waves. I have never been so pleased with a synthesizer purchase as the JP-08 in 25 years of production experience.  One JP-08 has  4 voices max, but because this auction is for 2 JP-08, you can link them in chain mode for 8 voices.  The "chain mode" synchronizes all master parameters to the slave one.   With a master keyboard, 2 Roland JP-08 are the way to go for a real Jupiter 8 sound, and editing, especially in DUAL mode. 10/10 rating !

SAGEM My dual radio 700 (internet radio) FM / Internet wifi and Ethernet / Usb only - no Dab - No Bluetooth Très bon état avec alimentation pour UK et Europe - Very good state like new with psu for UK and continental europe. Genuine remote controle - Télécommande d'origine fournie Fonctionne parfaitement, très bon son - Working perfectely, good sound. All the time the Sagem MyDual Radio700 is powered up even without a station selected the front screen will display a small top line of year, date and day with a large (four time the size) bottom line showing the time in 24 hour format. It is 20x10x14cm maximum, the right side is the larger being circular and the single speaker with a fine silver/grey mesh the rest of the unit is grey. The display is 7.3x3.5cm with white lettering on a blue background. Outputs on the back are for earbuds, liner out, Ethernet, FM aerial (supplied) and the power lead. There is a status LED that glows green but in most cases this will not even be seen and finally a push button on/off switch. Neither side or the bottom have any connections while the front has a USB stick socket between the LCD display and the speaker. This leaves the top this has a total of eight buttons, five arranged in the ubiquitous joystick combination and three others all clearly labelled. There is a 30 key remote control, however for most actions the eight buttons on top of the unit are all you need. The one exception I have found is entering your WEP or WPA code that needs the numeric (mobile phone type) input on the remote. It finds all the wireless networks in range you select the one you want and assuming it is encrypted then you enter your passcode. It remembers this so next time you return power to the unit although you need to move through the same screens and select the wireless network it then shows the passcode, here I think it should not display the actual code maybe just some dots as the passcode is there for anyone to see. Ethernet is simpler as it is just a matter of connecting an Ethernet cable between the unit and a router. There are literally thousands of Internet radio stations are these are split into Genres. On the Station list there are four choices Locations, New Stations, Popular Stations and Genres. There are 56 Genres listed, as regular readers will know jazz is my passion and there are 100 or these. Select what you want and after a few seconds of buffering you will be listening to what you have chosen, it could be in UK or America or New Zealand in fact anywhere in the world. I found the sound quality good. The FM radio was not as brilliant, there are two sensitivities and even with the supplied wire lead extended fully on the lesser setting it found three stations and thirteen in most sensitive so lots of stations are not found. It then lists the frequencies and in some cases the name of the station beside them. The actual reception quality varied. Lack of space prevents me from giving much detail about the other features, the Alarm Clock (choice of two) is easily set as in the Sleep Timer. The MP3 player works without problem and using it as a Media Server is logical. There is a twenty page Installation Guide that should get you going and also covers using Windows Media Player 11 on your PC. My one real gripe is your passcode being displayed anytime power is restored note I mean the back on/off switch and not the power switch on the top that is really only standby mode.

Marantz PM4 An excellent amp in very good condition and full working order.  Performs according to specs. This has been tested on a Audio Precision tester (see images of THD + Freq. response). Built in the the 80s in class A mode it's truly amazing with Living Voice and similarly efficient speakers only 15 watts in class A so wont drive hard loads or inefficient speakers to ear splitting levels but can be put into class a b mode for 60 watts. This one has been recapped with Silmic 2 Caps and had new modern binding posts fitted by Deco Audio around 3 years ago. The volume control works 100% no crackles hisses etc but it does require to be handled with care as it was rebuilt again by Deco Audio rather than replacing it. Its a truly epic performer in Class A mode with real grunt allied to a well balanced and resolved sound that is not fatiguing. This amp will outperform many far more expensive amps. The Lavardin IT at 6k shown below it is what i had to spend to replace it it's that good.
