This is my own built Grado. This headphone are made from rose wood with leather headband with high end nhoord driver. It's cabled with high pure copper cable from France for a total of 8 core (0,35mm each) cable ended in 4 core for each channel. The built of the cable are made for provide the best conductivity and the best quality possible without sacrifice the flexibility of it. For finish the plug is a popular Viablue Jack. The headphone is entierly made with lot of care for the best durability and performance possible. Compared to an original grado PS500 the sound is lot of more fun, more warm and round with more bass/sub bass. COMES WITH ITS ORIGINAL GIBSON GATOR SOFT CASE !  Here's a RARE BIRD from the Golden Era ! A true gem from 1965 ! By then, woods were on top. It still has its original Maestro Vibrola trem. This guitar is in pretty good condition for being 56 years old ! It shows normal wear and blacklights correct; this means that the varnish is 100% original with no touch-up at all. Some marks are visible on the back of the neck, around 2nd, 7th and 9th frets. There's no headstock nor body/neck crack at all. Sooo rare. How does it sounds ? Well, if you aren't used to vintage guitars, be prepared... there's such a huge difference between vintage and new guitars... even with Custom Shop guitars. Once you try vintage guitars, there's no way back. This one is no exception. Serial number is 2786XX, which points to 1965, according to Bluebook. The original Gibson gator soft case is in pretty good condition for its age and the three latches work well. Last, I will pack this beauty very well, as you can imagine. Electronic parts have been upgraded by Roger West himself to Toroid 2 level one month ago. I've made a custom wood frame to accomodate new transformers (which are too big to get inside the original frame). Speaker's impendance has been raised as well.   This is the only pair of A3 upgraded to Toroid 2 level worldwide (as Toroid 2 upgrade has never been made before for A3 speakers). New toroidal transformers and higher sensibility make them easy to drive with any decent amplifier. So, this particular pair of A3 is not only in a virtualy new condition, they also sound better than new. The sound can be described by one word only: glorious !  I have compared Soundlab A3 to Quad ESL 2912 and Stax ELS 8X in my room. Soundlab are MUCH better in every possible way.
