To achieve maximum writing comfort, a high quality cartridge and ink is of high importance. Therefore, Ballograf produces their tips from Japanese stainless steel and the balls are made from the extremely dense tungsten carbide. In the back of each cartridge is a small amount of fat which counteracts the ink to dry out even if the pen is left unused for a longer period of time.  Both blue and black medium refills are certified Swedish archive which means that these cartridges with the medium tip are authorized to be used within local authorities because of its resistance to light exposure.  Each cartridge writes 8000 meters and is suitable for all Ballograf Pens except Ballograf Pocket.
