CANON AF35M - STUCK BATTERY À PARIS

Oh, the tragedy. This looks like a very nice AF35M, but the previous owner left the batteries in it. One came out, but the other is wedged in -- as you can see, I tried to pull it out by destroying a bit of the end of the battery to get a better grip on it with pliers. No luck. Probably disassembly is required. Everything else about the camera looks good, but the film door release is stiff, probably because the swollen battery is pressing against the mechanism.
