Ceriatone Chupacabra 50 was the first offering in our Hot Rodded Plexi series, and is still a favorite for fans of British guitar Marshall Jmp/ Jcm 800 style tones who are keen on finding their own unique voice. The Chupa 50 is a nod to Jose Arredondo-modified circuits of the late ‘70s and ‘80s, but with a few refinements.   Compared to our Yeti, the Chupa is brighter, has more gain, is tighter, and more aggressive. Neither is better than the other, which is why we offer both, dummy! Part of what makes the Chupacabra so fun is it’s ability to dial in KILLER tones from all sorts of types of music in a simple format, all the while maintaining it’s own voice and integrity.
