PHILIPS IS-5021 TDA1547 SOUND ENHANCER MASTERING & VINYL TOO À PORT DE BOUC
This product offers recording studio engineers, home studios owners, post production facilities, corporate A/V centers, archivist, and broadcast professionals unmatched performance and value for an integrated set of advanced sound processing technologies developed by Philips." The IS5021 include the following: - - 20-bit A/D converters (ADMOD79) - - High quality D/A converter (based on the Philips DAC7) - - Sample rate converter for interfacing between digital equipment operation at different sample rates. Digital Sound Processing including: - - Jitter Removal (for cleaning up DAT recordings - - Compression/Expansion - - Noise reduction (comprising a low-pass filter with adjustable cut-off) - - QNI (Quantization Noise Imaging) - - Slave Mode (for external synchronization) - - Varispeed (pitch variation can be processed without effecting output sample rates) - - Scratch Suppression (de-clicking) - - Stereo Enhancement (stereo effect from mono) - - Spatial Stereo (widen or narrow the sound stage) - - Bass, Treble, Balance and Volume Control - - Digital Level Indication & Control (for monitor of the overall input level) These features offer the professional studio engineers tremendous versatility in the creation of digital recordings, whether from analog or digital source material. Typical applications for the IS5022 include the following: Recording Studios/Music Production Facilities: The 20-bit A/D converter in combination with the sample rate converter will permit the user to choose a 44.1 or 48kHz sampling frequency for the transfer of older DAT recording. Actually, any input sampling frequency between 15kHz and 50kHz will be accepted. Broadcast Professionals/Archivists/Home Studios: The IS5022 offer a tremendous variety of easy to use tools to enhance the sound of older recordings (tape and vinyl) from the stereo enhancement capability that permits a monaural recording to be "converted" into stereo (through phase shift), to spatial stereo that widens or narrows the recording, to noise reduction and scratch suppression filters. These capabilities, along with the D/A converter and QNI will permit recording professionals to create enhanced digital recordings, as well as transfer back to analog cassette format for substantially enhanced quality for use in portable listening applications. Audio Post Production Facilities: Recordings made in-the-field with most commonly available portable DAT recorders can now be edited into recordings that offer improved resolution and richness along with substantially reduced jitter distortion. Technical specifications Inputs Digital: 15-50kHz sample rate s/pdif: RCA Analog Unbalanced: RCA (L/R) Outputs Digital: 44/1/48kHz switchable s/pdif: RCA Analog Unbalanced: RCA (L/R) Performance (complete Analog Path-analog IN to OUT) Balanced S/N Ratio: 94dB (A-weighted)
