RARE VINTAGE GAME  “PLAY CAVALRY” of Scandecor  COLLECTOR 1977 En 1977, la société suédoise Scandecor  a tenté  de prendre pied dans le marché des jeux en Europe et a produit huit jeux en quatre langues (allemand, anglais, italien et français) avec une règle.  Malheureusement, le succès n'est pas venu, alors Scandecor a cessé de jouer en 1979. Les jeux ont différents formats d'emballage. Quatre jeux ( PLAY NUMERIC, PLAY CAVALRY, PLAY BALANCE, PLAY ECOLOGY ) sont dans une boîte en plastique (de 348x348x37mm) et 4 autres jeux ( pirates PLAY, PLAY ouest, PLAY olympic, PLAY curse) sont emballé dans un carton (354x354x41mm). Les jeux élaborés et magnifiquement conçus sont très rares à trouver et maintenant objets de collection convoités. Pour 2 à 4 joueurs Catégorie Abstract strategy (jeu de stratégie combinatoire abstrait ou jeu combinatoire à information parfaite) Durée moyenne de jeu environ 30 mn Play cavalry ressemble à un mélange de "Trap the Cap" et "Chess", mais ce n'est pas aussi facile que cela puisse paraître. Chacun des joueurs a 6 pièces de jeu, qui se déplacent comme les Chevaliers aux échecs. Au milieu de la planche est une pièce neutre, qui porte une boule de bois sur son sommet en forme de cratère. L'objet du jeu est d'attraper cette balle en bois (les pièces de jeu ont tous de petits cratères sur leur partie supérieure pour mettre la balle sur le dessus) et de l'amener à votre bord du plateau de jeu 9x9. La pièce neutre se déplace comme le roi dans les échecs et elle peut faire des captures en sautant sur d'autres pièces - comme dans "Trap the Cap". Ce qui rend le jeu intéressant, c'est que la pièce neutre est la seule pièce capable de capturer des pièces normales. Each of the players has 6 playing pieces, which move like the Knights in chess. In the middle of the board is one neutral piece, who carries a wooden ball on his crater shaped top. Object of the game is to catch that wooden ball (the playing pieces all have small craters on their top to put the ball on top) and bring it to your edge of the 9x9 game board. The neutral piece moves like the king in chess and it can make captures by jumping on other pieces - like in "Trap the Cap". What makes the game interesting is, that the neutral piece is the only piece that can capture normal pieces. That means, that you need at least 1 piece to capture the ball, but the other pieces can only try to block other pieces from doing so.
