Disque / Record: VG++ Traces de surface Surface marks Graduation system: M (MINT) Sealed, never played, new in its original packaging. NM (NEAR MINT) Almost perfect copy, never or very rarely played. At worst, one or two surface marks, generally insignificant and due to inner sleeve. This the highest grade for an unsealed record. EX (EXCELLENT) Very clean copy, some insignificant surfaces marks (hairlines). This record has been rarely played, on good equipment and treated with care. The cover has very minor flaws: a name or discrete initials, low wear corners, very slight ringwear. VG + + (VERY GOOD + +) More surface marks.Minor flaws or cover wear, minor edge wear. This is generally the grade given to a 20 to 50 years old record with a "normal" life, treated with care, but listened and handled regularly by his former owner. VG + (VERY GOOD +) Has been played a lot, shows multiple slight surface marks (hairlines) generating background noise between songs but no jump or skips. Cover shows important signs of age and storage (slice corners worn, name, date, dedication, tears, etc....). Generally, this record was one of the favorites among previous owner discotheque, went from hand to hand, had to animate some parties and bears the scars of a busy life. VG (VERY GOOD) The record is very worn, has been played a lot, shows important scratches that are creating permanent background noises but do not skip or jump. Still listenable (especially at high volume for big sound). The cover is well worn, torn important corner and edge wear, significant traces of marker pen or... well, the previous grade but more accentuated. G (GOOD) Has been played to the hilt (but still playable on some titles), many scratches, crackles a lot while playing, may have jumps or sticks. The cover is very damaged. This record must be very rare to be proposed on sale ! We tend to exaggerate our gradations, however, in case of doubt, do not hesitate to ask questions before bidding. Cleaning The sleeves are generally cleaned. Each collector has his own method for cleaning vinyl records, those that we offer for sale are just clean with a smooth velvet brush to take off the dust before being photographed. Photos Our records are always photographed by natural light. No scanning which tends to erase some defects. Packaging All our records are shipped in packaging specifically designed for vinyl in cardboard (double box) and delivered in a plastic sleeve. Réplique d'une griffe de paresseux géant Mégathérium du Pleistocène de 30 cm de longueur museum quality Modélisé en 3 dimensions puis imprimé par IFC Matiére: résine Moulage interdit (modéle déposé) Les æpyornis ou oiseaux-éléphants (genre éteint Aepyornis) étaient des oiseaux géants, faisant partie des ratites (autruches, émeus, nandous…). Ils vivaient exclusivement à Madagascar. Les Aepyornis sont considérés comme les plus lourds de tous les oiseaux ayant existé, leur masse approchant les 500 kilogrammes. Ces oiseaux étaient incapables de voler. Dans certains cas, ces œufs ont une circonférence de plus d'1 mètre, une longueur pouvant atteindre 34 centimètres, et un volume de 9 litres. Le nom Deltadromeus agilis signifie « l'agile coureur du delta » Deltadromeus agilis était un mangeur de viande avec de puissantes et fines pattes postérieures suggérant que c'était un tueur rapide et efficace. Il vivait à la fin du Crétacé, il y a 100 millions d'années, c'était l'un des plus longs dinosaures carnivores, il peut avoir atteint 12 m, soit presque la longueur du Tyrannosaurus, bien qu'il soit estimé qu'il pesait 3,5 tonnes, ce qui le rendait plus fin que le carnosaure géant. Perhaps WEA Records thought fans would see The Cutter as a best-of collection, which it isn't; maybe they thought those same fans would clamor for the covers of songs by the Rolling Stones and the Beatles. To start with, the album material isn't necessarily the best of. While the songs are a just-decent sample of some of the finer moments from the band's glory days, Songs to Learn and Sing and Ballyhoo are both better introductions. Albums covered include Crocodiles, Heaven Up Here, Porcupine, Ocean Rain, and Echo & the Bunnymen. There are classics here to be sure: "The Cutter," "A Promise," and "Ocean Rain" are all glorious slices. But there are glaring omissions among these classics, including "Lips Like Sugar," "The Killing Moon," "Bring On the Dancing Horses," and "Never Stop." The Cutter might be a nice find in the used CD bin, if one is looking for one particular track and an assortment of other okay songs. The live covers certainly don't justify the album, as they serve merely to break up an otherwise interesting collection. "Paint It Black" sees Ian McCulloch butchering the classic song like a campy vampire; it actually starts out promising, but McCulloch falls apart about a minute and half in. "All You Need Is Love" just sounds stupid, as if the band had only been rehearsing it for a day; there's no passion in the performance. Il faut savoir que les cassettes single (ou K7 2 titres) sont apparues sur le marché français fin 1991 et ont cessé je crois dans le courant de l’année 1994. Format qui a peu intéressé les acheteurs potentiels de musique. La cassette 2 titres prise en sandwich entre le CD 2 titres apparues au même moment (plus pratique à écouter) et le CD album, qui avait tué à l’époque le vinyl (45 tours et 33 tours). If this happens to be your problem then this book will be ideal if you want to discover what this political philosophy stands for and what its issues are and, indeed, have been for a long time. Emma Goldman, a woman with as fiery a personality as they come, has put together here a number of essays about anarchy that are easy to comprehend and definately thought inspiring. Despite this book having been first published in 1917 it loses nothing of its importance in the current state affairs as all of the issues Goldman deals with not only remain unsolved but they have -in the meantime- become a social burden or a social disaster much worse than back in her time. Oh, and back in her time things already looked bad enough. What you get here is, summarily, the following: -anarchy, what is it and what does it stand for? Beyond the mainstream media cliches anarchy stands for personal and societal freedom of the highest conceivable order. A freedom, anarchists insist, that is not a utopia. It's basically a hard lesson in crushing your illusions and opening unthought of doors of perception of what freedom really means. That would be then something other than being in a cage and having food thrown in. Even if the cage is invisible.. -Hard punching essays about the prison system and the everself-destructing notion of patriotism.. Funny how every line one reads in there could've been written yesterday. Not much has changed. After decades and decades of the imprisonment system has society become more law-abiding? That would be a thundering no. Why is that? As for patriotism, the incredible notion of dying for your country the same one that might be killing you slowly while draining you of all your resources and enslaving you in a wage system and a daily mindless-toil called "work". here, Emma has to say a lot. There's always a reason to die if someone is going to make money out of it (that would be NOT you) and dress the whole "cause" up as patriotic.. -The hypocrisy of puritanism as well as the seemingly eternal joke of marriage and "love" are also given the treatment they deserve. In a society based on hypocrisy alltogether, you have to start on a personal level. You have to lose your personal chains before you attempt to free others. Your personal chains begin with the things you've been taught to hold most sacred (as is generally the case). The morals that are not yours. Whom do they really serve? The institutions that everyone notices they have fail and yet most continue to serve them. Why? How can this possibly be? These are just some of the issues dealt with in Emma's essays. A classic book that will basically reprogram your brain if you honestly think about the issues in it. But reprogrammed into what? Well, it will only reprogram you into thinking for yourself. For once. If you do, you'll find that the illusion you've been living in does indeed serve someone. Your long hard road to becoming an individual will thus commence. Good, But Not the Best Collection of Emma's Work This is a good collection of essays by Emma Goldman; however, it is not the best one available. That would be _Red Emma Speaks_, which contains the best material in this volume as well as other excellent essays and excerpts from her entire life's work. In addition, all of this book is available on the Web. So I would have to recommend that those interested in Emma's work get _Red Emma Speaks_ instead of this one. as relevent today as it was in Emma Goldman's day Being historically one the more important yet obscure figures in American history, Emma Goldman's anarchist thought is as relevent today as it was when she wrote "Anarchism, and Other Essays". In an age where political apathy, intellectual ignorance and spiritual corruption are the failings of modern civilzation, Emma Goldman's Enlightenment thought is illuminating in its message of the power of direct action as she so lucidly illustrates: "Anarchism urges man to think, to investigate, to analyze every proposition... (Anarchism is the) philosophy of a new social order based on liberty unrestricted by man-made law; the theory that all forms of government rest on violence, and are therefore wrong and harmful, as well as unnecessary. "The new social order rests, of course, on the materialistic basis of life; but while all Anarchists agree that the main evil today is an economic one, they maintain that the solution of that evil can be brought about only through the consideration of every phase of life,--individual, as well as the collective; the internal, as well as the external phases. "A thorough perusal of the history of human development will disclose two elements in bitter conflict with each other; elements that are only now beginning to be understood, not as foreign to each other, but as closely related and truly harmonious, if only placed in proper environment: the individual and social instincts. The individual and society have waged a relentless and bloody battle for ages, each striving for supremacy, because each was blind to the value and importance of the other. From just that little exerpt it is easy to understand why any and all authority was terrified of Emma Goldman and why her important contributions to society have been muzzled from histories - down the "memory hole" to use an Orwellian expression.Again, "Anarchism, and Other Essays" is as relevent today as it was in Emma Goldman's day and necessary material for anyone truly interested or involved in altruistic direct action. "Streets of Philadelphia" is a song written and performed by American rock musician Bruce Springsteen for the film Philadelphia (1993) starring Tom Hanks, an early mainstream film dealing with HIV/AIDS. Released as a single in 1994, the song was a hit in many countries, particularly in Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, and Norway, where it topped the singles charts. In the United States, the single peaked at number nine on the Billboard Hot 100. The song received acclaim and went on to win the Academy Award for Best Original Song and four Grammy Awards: Song of the Year, Best Rock Song, Best Rock Vocal Performance, Solo, and Best Song Written Specifically for a Motion Picture or Television. In 2004, it finished at number 68 on AFI's 100 Years...100 Songs survey of top tunes in American cinema.
