Antique French pair of maritime themed fire dogs Andirons for open fires or display, covered in surface rust in most places but still very solid and usable,and depending what they will be used for should clean up real well with a wire brush.perfect for open fires or would make a really pretty display focal talking point in the garden or home. The castings are excellent quality and the faces are so lifelike,look carefully and you can see anchor emblems on each girls shoulders there are also 3 emblems Havre Paris Rouen cast to the bottoms with Seine on the very bottoms, basically these are the 3 main cities that the seine passes through starting its 777 km route in Dijon and ending at the ocean in Le havre so some maritime history thrown in for free. Dimensions Approx 33 cms 13 inch long 10 cm`s 4 inch wide 22 cm`s 8.5 inch tall As mentioned they are cast iron and steel and very solid and heavy 3 kgs each so tracked shipping worldwide will not be cheap but I have taken this into account when pricing them up, I hope you like them as much as I do. Antique French tightly knitted pure cotton bed cover. Main body of cover about 84" x 76". The diamond patterned knitted edge with triangular scallops 4½" deep on all four sides. There have been some repairs. Time worn borders, reflected in price. I have machine washed and sun-dried, the stiches and repairs stayed perfectly in place. 2,200g I personally wash and iron all of the linen for sale at Frenchaffaires, it's the best way to closely examine every piece.

One handmade embroidered decor of cherubs. The side bottom is finished with a fringes. (some are partly missing) There are also some wear, cuts in the embroidery and a few small stains. This beautiful ecru cream King sized French bed sheet is vintage/ antique but UNUSED made from linen métis its superb Art Deco Monogram MC & it will wash whiter with every wash. This is a complete unrestored vintage French copper saute pan, with a cast iron handle and copper rivets. The handle is good, the base is dented, it does not sit flat, this has F stamped just by the hilt of the handle. This is a very old Chef's Pan with lots of wear and use, it is not totally round. 'Chef's retinning' There are dents in the base and on the edge. Most if not all, can be removed successfully by your retinner. A stunning pair of antique French bronze sconces. They are in Rococo style and have elegant metalwork with stylised ribbon motifs. They date to the early twentieth century and are ideal for adding classic French style to your home. Seen in the photos with four lampshades I made in a blue on light cream toile de Jouy fabric. I make all of my lampshades by hand in my studio in Bordeaux. At the time of listing, I have two matching pairs of these sconces available. They are being sold by the pair (as seen in the first photo). Please view each of the photos and read the full description below. Total height with the lampshades in place 38 cm (14.96 inches) Maximum width with the lampshades in place 25 cm (9.84 inches) Stand 15 cm from the wall (5.9 inches) max The lampshades measure 10 cm x 10 cm x 6 cm (3.9 inches x 3.9 ins x 2.3 ins) In good used, antique condition. The metalwork has a patina of time and surface wear commensurate with the age of the sconces. There is a fine split in the wood of one of the faux candles. The little, handmade lampshades have clip on rings at the top, which fit on to flame shaped (candelabra style) LED bulbs. They do not have rings at the bottom edge. IMPORTANT PLEASE NOTE: These sconces have recent two core wiring and their original wooden bulb holders and wooden faux candles (final photo). Your electrician will likely recommend bringing these sconces up to modern standards. Require 4 x E14 screw fit LED bulbs (not supplied) US and Canadian buyers can find bulb adapters on line to use their E12 bulbs with these sconces, please search 'E14 to E12 adapter'. The adapters cost approximately 3 USD each and you will require four adapters. They simply screw into place and then allow you to insert your E12 bulbs which will then work normally on your 110v or you may prefer to rewire to current standards. IMPORTANT As with all used electrical equipment, you are advised to have this item checked fitted/ rewired if deemed necessary, in your home by a qualified electrician.
