Autofocus fast and accurate

Nikon AF Nikkor ED 300mm f4 autofocus prime lens, with front and rear caps. In good condition and in full working order, though the focus can be noisy (details below). Externally this lens is in very nice condition, with only light signs of use. The glass is also good, it's clean, clear and free of haze and fungus. There is one tiny mark on the front element, which doesn't affect image quality, and it's otherwise unmarked. As with any used lens, there are a few specks of internal dust. The aperture blades are excellent, they're clean and free of oil, the aperture ring clicks well through the stops and the iris is snappy. The AF servo motor can be noisy - sometimes the screw-drive gear makes a high-pitched noise when refocusing between near and far subjects (or vice versa). This is apparently a common problem on this lens, but it shouldn't affect performance. The autofocus is accurate, but the noise could be disturbing if, for example, you're photographing wildlife. In manual focus the gear will make a similar high-pitched noise if you focus quickly. For normal fine focusing it doesn't make this noise, you have to move the barrel quite quickly to provoke it. In any case, I have set a lower price to reflect the issue. The removable filter holder works well and the included Nikon L37c is in good condition, with minor signs of use. The built-in hood is slightly dented but also still works very well. When tested the lens produces sharp, contrasty images. I often have similar or compatible items for sale, see my shop for details. Fujifilm FUJINON XF 35mm f/1,4 R Prime lens. Work very well. Some sign of use on metal barrel and some tiny dust but glasses are free of scratch. The aperture ring is smooth and accurate like the autofocus. The resistance of the manual focus ring is a little bit irregular sometimes but turns smoothly and still functionnal and accurate. No problem. With original hood, caps and box. ——————————— Fonctionne très bien. Quelques signes d’usure esthétiques et de minuscule poussières sans conséquence. Pas de rayure sur les verres. Seule la résistance de la bague de focus manuel est un peu irrégulière mais sans conséquence sur la mise au point. Le reste est absolument sans défaut. Avec boîte, bouchons et pare-soleil originaux.

Sony's FE 90mm f2.8 Macro G OSS is a very good macro lens which also doubles up as a light tele-photo. It produces very sharp images with very little field-curvature - although for optimal results it should be stopped down to f4.0 when shooting at closer distances. It also produces a pretty soft Bokeh and has almost no color aberrations. Its feature set is nice - including the option to switch manual focus between linear and non-linear gearing. What will you apreciate? - shapely, sealed casing made mostly of metal, - excellent image quality in the frame centre, - very good image quality on the edge of the APS-C sensor, - good image quality on the edge of full frame, - lack of problems with spherical aberration, - excellent coma correction, - silent and accurate autofocus, - quite nice out-of-focus areas, - efficient optical stabilization.

Nikon F80 35mm film SLR camera body, with strap and front cap. Tested with film, in full working order. This body is in good conditon, there are light signs of wear and age, but no cracks or other obvious damage. The top plate LCD and viewfinder LEDs work well, the shutter fires nicely and the motor winder is strong. The viewfinder and focusing screen have some specks of dust and faint marks, but they are bright, clear and sharp overall. The mirror and lens mount are good, the film chamber is clean and the shutter is intact. All buttons and functions are tested and working, inlcuding the flash hotshoe. The on/off switch can be a little stiff to move when it hasn't been used for a while, but it works fine. I have tested this camera with film, it produces sharp, well-exposed results with even frame spacing and accurate autofocus.
