Bec vintage pour saxophone alto de marque Otto Link, made in USA, modèle "Super Tone Master", ouverture 7, de type "Early Babbitt", c'est-à-dire fabriqué à Elkhart, Indiana, entre 1975 et 1980. Ce modèle, recherché pour ses attaques plus directes que celles des Super Tone Master "Florida", avec sa grosse sonorité typique, ne se trouve plus, en alto qu'entre 350 et 600 euros, et pas forcément complet, alors que celui-ci est vendu avec sa ligature d'origine et son protège-bec en laiton (à la dorure très usée). On repère bien sur sa table la trame "denim" due à l'usinage spécifique des bec terminés à Elkhart entre 1973 (date du déménagement d'Otto Link de la Floride à l'Indiana) à 1980, et le chiffre de l'ouverture est frappé sur le côté du corps. A la différence des modèles Florida et Transitional antérieurs qui étaient dorés sur un nickelage du corps de bronze, la dorure a bien tenu sur la sous-couche d'argenture.  L'état du bec lui-même est très bon (table, rails, état cosmétique), il n'a pas été retouché. Cette ouverture 7 correspond à environ 0.085", c'est-à-dire F chez Selmer, ou 8 chez Meyer et Dukoff, ou 90 chez Berg Larsen (Larsen annonçant généralement une demie-taille de plus que le rendu réel). C'est donc un bec très professionnel, adapté pour un bon niveau de jazz.
