Pochette / PS: NMint Petite déchirure au dos de la pochette 3 mm Pochette pelliculée à rabats française encore sous son cellophane de protection. Laminated French flipback PS, still in shrink. Vinyl: NMint Jamais joué. NMint Unplayed archive copy. Nous vendons cette semaine une grosse collection de 25 cm et 33t de musique classique récemment achetée auprès d'un grand compositeur français. L'énorme majorité de ces disques n'a JAMAIS été jouée, le reste l'a été une ou deux fois, tout au plus. Ce trésor est resté caché pendant des décennies dans une maison de campagne fermée l'hiver d'où, pour certains, une très légère odeur d'humidité. Un bon nettoyage devrait définitivement accroître la qualité acoustique de ces vinyles en ôtant la poussière qui pourrait y rester. Dans la mesure où chaque collectionneur a sa propre méthode de nettoyage (machines VPI ou Okki Nokki, pâte LGL, sprays, etc...), nous laissons le soin d'exécuter cette délicate opération à son futur propriétaire. The huge majority of these records has NEVER been played, the others have been once or twice at the maximum. This treasure was hidden for decades in a country house closed in winter so some may have a slight smell of humidity. A good cleaning will definitely increase the sound quality by taking off some of the dust that might still be there. As every record collector has his own way to do it (VPI or Okki Nokki cleaning machines, LGL paste, sprays, etc...) we leave this delicate operation to its next owner. Grading system in english here Système de gradation visuelle dérivé du Goldmine Standard: M (MINT) Scellé, jamais joué, neuf dans son emballage d'origine. NM (NEAR MINT) Copie quasi parfaite, jamais ou très rarement joué. Au pire, une ou deux traces de surface insignifiantes généralement dues à la pochette intérieure. C'est le qualificatif le plus haut donné pour un disque non scellé. EX (EXCELLENT) Copie très propre, quelques marques de surfaces (cheveux) insignifiantes. Ce disque a rarement été joué, toujours sur du bon matériel et traité avec soin. La pochette a des défauts très mineurs: des initiales ou un nom discrets, faible usure des coins, très léger ringwear. VG++ (VERY GOOD++) Des marques de surface plus nombreuses pour le vinyl. Quelques défauts ou traces d'usage de la pochette. C’est, en général, le qualificatif donné à un disque de 20 à 50 ans ayant eu une vie “normale”, traité avec soin, mais écouté et manipulé régulièrement par son ancien propriétaire. VG+ (VERY GOOD +) A été joué souvent, traces d'usage et multiples micros rayures générant un bruit de fond au départ ou entre deux titres, mais le disque ne saute pas à la lecture. La pochette présente des traces d'usage ou de stockage importantes (coins ou tranche usés, noms, date, dédicace, déchirure, etc...). En général, ce disque a fait partie des favoris de la discothèque de son ancien propriétaire, est passé de mains en mains, a dû animer quelques soirées et porte les stigmates d’une vie bien remplie. VG (VERY GOOD) Disque très usé, a été joué de nombreuses fois, des rayures importantes provoquant un bruit de fond permanent mais ne saute pas à la lecture. Encore écoutable (notamment à fort volume pour du gros son). La pochette est bien abîmée, déchirure importante, coins et tranche usés, importantes traces de stylo ou marqueur...bref, le qualificatif précédent mais bien plus accentué. DURING THE 1970’s, the glorious Sunshine State of Georgia had been a fertile breeding ground for home grown Southern Rock nurturing, amongst others, the Allman Brothers Band, Grinderswitch and the Atlanta Rhythm Section. Doc Holliday, although not as universally well known as those big selling, stubble sporting whiskey soaked troubadours, were an important, nay essential, addition to that linage of respected and revered musicians. Developing a reputation as one of the hottest acts on what was affectionately termed the chittlin’ circuit DH, or Roundhouse as they had been known, eventually courted the ears of various power players in the record business. Wined and dined by the cigar chomping executives at A&M Records they were eventually signed to a major contract in 1980. Introduced to renowned English record producer ‘Colonel’ Tom Allom (Judas Priest, Strawbs, Nantucket) the coupling appeared an unlikely marriage but the natural  bonhomie of both parties proved hugely infectious helping to create one of the most impressive debut albums from a Southern Rock band since the glory days of the Allman Brothers Band and Lynyrd Skynyrd. Embraced by their peers and feted in the media, Doc Holliday’s debut album quickly became the must have Southern Rock record of 1981, a work that is still praised to this very day and cited as one of the highlights of the genre. 24-bit remastering from original source tapes, huge 4,000 word essay about the making of the album and 2 bonus tracks. Tons of additional photos and memorabilia spread out over a 16 page full colour booklet.
