Troisième génération des Nikon professionnels, celui-ci succède au Nikon F2 sorti en 1972 qui avait succédé au mythique Nikon F de 1959. Les améliorations par rapport au Nikon F2 furent relativement nombreuses. Premièrement, la cellule n’était plus dans le prisme mais dans le boîtier même, ce qui permettait à l’appareil de faire la mesure de lumière quelque soit le viseur employé. La position de la cellule derrière le miroir (solution toujours utilisée actuellement même sur les appareils numériques modernes) permet aussi l’utilisation de n’importe quel verre de visée sans compensation de l’exposition. L’obturateur est quant à lui électronique, jusque 1/2000ème de seconde et synchro X à 1/80ème. Il possède deux positions mécaniques, à savoir le 1/60ème et la pose T à l’image d’un Nikon FE. Le rideau est en titane a déplacement horizontal (ce qui explique la synchro flash relativement basse) et n’est pas un modèle de silence. Les viseurs proposés sont au nombre de 4 en 1980. Un viseur standard à prisme, un viseur loupe, un viseur sportif et un viseur capuchon. 1983 verra l’arrivée d’un viseur dit « High Eyepoint », commercialisé comme standard avec le Nikon F3 HP. Ce dernier permet un compromis entre le viseur standard et le viseur sportif, à savoir une visée totale de l’image à 3cm du viseur, très utile pour les porteurs de lunettes. Ce dernier viseur a une couverture d’environ 99% de l’image. Le positionnement de la cellule permet aussi une exposition au flash TTL via de sabot spécifique Nikon qui imposait l’achat d’un adaptateur ou du flash dédié Nikon SB-12 ou SB-17. L’appareil est motorisable à la cadence de 5 images à la seconde grâce au moteur MD-4. Un atout de ce moteur réside en la possibilité de rembobiner le film en fin de parcours à la vitesse de 8s avec des piles classiques.

Nikon F3 + 50mm 1.8 + 35-70 mm. Très bon / excellent état technique et cosmétique. Très peu de signes d'usure sur le boîtier. Pas de chocs. 100% fonctionnel toutes opérations. Les deux objectifs sont également en très bon état optique. Quelques poussières dans le viseur qui n'affectent pas les photos ni la prise de vue. La cellule fonctionne et les autres fonctions également. Fourni avec piles + 2 piles de rechange. Envoi rapide et soigné. Paiement immédiat via PayPal. Retour non accepté. J ai mis du scotch autour du viseur dans le but d eviter des rayures sur mes lunettes. Il y a une pellicule encore;a l intérieur. Pour cela je n ai pas mis la photo du rideau

Nikon F3 35mm SLR film camera body, with strap, focusing screen and front cap. Sold for parts or repair as it is not working correctly.  Externally this body has some cosmetic signs of wear and age, but no obvious dents or cracks. When batteries are installed the shutter fires, but always at the same speed, irrespective of the shutter speed dial. The frame counter stays stuck on zero, even when a whole film has been wound through the camera. This will need to be repaired. The electrics seem to be working - when fresh batteries are installed the viewfinder readouts function. When no batteries are installed the shutter won't fire.  The focusing screen is in good condition, it's clean with some minor marks and specks of dust. The mirror is good, with minor signs of use. The lens mount seems to be functional - lenses mount and release correctly. The film chamber is clean and tidy, the pressure plate is good and the shutter curtain looks OK too. It will need new light seals and mirror damper foam.
