This is a nice example of version of the B8 with a variable shutter (the B-8VS). The camera appears to work: motor runs properly at different speeds, viewfinder is reasonably clear, viewfinder frame size changing works. Lens are clean and clear, apertures click precisely. Turret switches nearly. Focus on the 12.5 mm is smooth, but the grease seems to have hardened in the 35 mm lens -- I can't turn it away from infinity. It produces images of very high resolutions and low contrast (this is one of the very best lenses for stunning black and white pictures in particular). This particular sample was cleaned, unchromed and repainted in black by a highly skilled french Leica specialist. It is very rare in black. It comes with both caps. Upon close inspection following a question, I found a very tiny scratch on the front lens (see pictures 5 and 6) that I never noticed previously. It is very small, but I prefer to mention it.
