Chaque lampe est composée d'un large cache ampoule en épais verre moulé-pressé assujetti à une base en bronze nickelé. Il s'agit d'un modèle commercialisé par La maison Hettier et Vincent, fameux bronzier fabricant d'éclairage et lustrerie, installé à Paris à l'époque art déco. En épais verre moulé, les verreries présentent un décor végétal de feuillage fortement stylisé. La surface du verre est satinée à l'acide, avec les arêtes et reliefs polis donc brillants, ce qui accentue le contraste et permet d'accrocher la lumière. On notera que le décor de la verrerie est repris en écho sur le pied en bronze finement ciselé. Très bon état d'usage - câblage aux normes actuelles: cette paire de lampe est parfaitement fonctionnelle. Je signale quelques infimes petits éclats sur les arêtes du décor (très peu visible) ainsi que quelques traits filaires de surface (petites imperfections de moulage d'origine). Une des lampes présente un cheveu (20 mm) au trou de fixation de la verrerie (voir photo). The molded glass shades offer a gorgeous floral design of highly stylised leaves. Surface of the glass is acid satinated with polished beveled areas providing an interesting transparency effect. The lamp bases are made of nickeled bronze with a very nice decoration pattern echoing the one of the glass shade. HETTIER & VINCENT is amongst the most important lighting designers / decorators of the Art Deco era in France. This business was settled in Paris, dealing top quality bronze and wrought iron lamps and chandeliers.   Very good used condition: electric cable is modern the lamps works just fine. There are a couple of tiny chips in the glass shade (hardly visible). One of the lamp does have a small hairline near the base (20 mm) where glass is tighten to the metal. Candélabre a 2 lumières habillés de ses 4 bobèches. Décor de volutes de feuillage et petites fleurs, le fût à motif rocaille, reposant sur une base a contours. Le mouvement et la vivacité de ce modèle en font les témoignages parfaits du courant Rocaille dont Juste-Aurèle Meissonnier est l'un des plus célèbres représentants. Né à Turin vers 1693, il succède à Jean II Bérain en 1725 en tant qu'architecte-dessinateur de la Chambre et du Cabinet du Roi, faisant oeuvre d'orfèvre, architecte et ornemaniste. The central column is in two distinct sections. The upper section has a striking acanthus shaped rose at the top, it has a  gently turned rim and is intricately embossed below with rich sprays of laurel leaves radiating out from the centre. Below this a vase shaped column, again with rich foliate embossing, sits on a circular plate from which rise up six slender sinuously curving decorative spurs each one with more embossed leaves and a super little daisy on the top. The scalloped circular plate, with a swagged pattern encircling the underside, also forms a rose for the lower section of the column. It has a slightly larger version of the vase shaped column above and sits on a sweeping capital on the top half of the chandeliers centre. It has an Egyptian type design etched around the extended rim forming a lovely scalloped edge. The six arms extend from the fluted band in the centre of the light. Carved along the length with extraordinarily detailed swathes of scrolled leaves, put together with the candle cups that match the top rose on the central column and they are wonderfully opulent and plush. All are complete with original faux candle sleeves. The base of the chandelier is a mirror image of the top centre of the light with the addition of a large pineapple finial in the centre. It is in wonderful vintage condition and the bronze has developed a lovely timeworn patina over the years that really glows when the chandelier is lit. The remarkable attention to detail and lavish workmanship in this chandelier would make it a stunning centrepiece in any home. Bougeoir ancien, bronze doré et argenté, Art Nouveau, fin XIXème siècle, France. Le bougeoir ancien de taille moyenne pour une bougie est très beau et richement décoré: le haut d'une jambe fine avec de beaux motifs floraux en relief caractéristiques de l'époque Art Nouveau, on retrouve des motifs floraux et géométriques sur la base. Incroyable travail à la main par un maître français du 19ème siècle, tous les détails sont visibles. La combinaison du placage d'argent et de la dorure sur bronze accentue encore le relief du tableau et permet d'utiliser ce bougeoir en décoration avec des objets à la fois argentés et dorés! Gracieux et élégant, il ne manquera pas d'attirer l'attention! J'ai quelques-uns de ces chandeliers, le prix en magasin est pour un chandelier! L'un des bougeoirs a presque épuisé l'argenture de la base. Il est très rare de trouver de telles choses maintenant! Bougeoir antique moyen: hauteur - 16 cm, socle d'un diamètre de 9 cm, en bon état pour son âge vénérable, avec des traces de temps et d'usage, car il a environ 150 ans!
