Orient Mako 1, excellent self winding automatic diver. Has the emblematic pusher at 2 for the day changing. - Case: all steel, some very light scratches, the rotating bezel has a few marks between 3 and 4, but hardly visible. The crown and pusher have smooth operations, and are scratch free. The glass has a veeery small ding at 5, otherwise absolutely perfect ! - Dial: spotless black with lumed indexes (strong lume !), the day and date work as they should; The hands are lumed, except the red tipped second one. - Movement: runs very accurately (10-15s/day), the self winding makes start the watch after just a few movements, if they could all be so good... - Bracelet: original Orient one, in solid steel. Some scratches here and there, but nothing serious. The clasp has a double security. The original rubber straps make part of the lot. A very good Orient Mako 1, that is in very good condition ! Date at six o’clock. Silver lumed minute and hour hounds with red chronometer hand. Tachymeter bezel has taken on a “Ghosted” effect. Tissot Swiss below 12 o’oclock. Seastar above 6 o’clock. T Swiss Made T at bottom indicating Trituim luming. Movement:- Chronometric manual circa 1971 Tissot 2060 (valjoux 7734) with date. Strap:- All stainless steel original Tissot fitting upto a 20 cm wrist. 1972 Ultra Chron Cushion Case Automatic Date Cal 6651 Excellent Condition History In 1967, Longines launches the Ultra-Chron, with a self-winding 11″ line caliber aiming to offer an alternative to the electronics and quartz used by the competition. The regulating organ of the L430 movement is a guarantee of accuracy, with the characteristics of a competition piece as it vibrates at a frequency of 36,000 vibrations per hour. The Caliber 6651 released in 1972 is the same quality movement with minor modifications done to lower its rate down to 28600 bph, adjusted to 4 positions to increase its accuracy.  Longines made that move to remedy the issue they faced with high frequency movements, which required a lot more attention and maintenance. It resulted in offering one of the best quality movement Longines has ever produced.  The watch  The condition of the watch is excellent, the case, the dial, hands and indexes and the movement are all original and in mint condition.  The bezel still has its original Sun-ray brushed finish, as the case has never been re-polished.  The watch functions work perfectly, date change, hand setting,  push pull of the crown, winding action….  My wrist is 7,1 Inches or 18cm wide (medium size).
