très belle paire de candélabres d’autel d’église à 5 bras de lumière en bronze doré, à décor de volutes et de feuillages. Ils reposent sur un piètement tripode.     Époque : Fin XIXème Dimensions : H :54 x l :38cm   Le chandelier est une pièce de mobilier d’église présent dans chaque église et posé sur l’autel.    Le grand chandelier à plusieurs branches prend le nom de candélabre.   Son utilisation remonte aux origines même de l’église et est lié de manière évidente et indissoluble au symbole de la Lumière comme expression de Foi, Espoir et Résurrection du Christ. Le chandelier était autrefois posé par terre et uniquement dans une période successive a été disposé sur l’autel avant le début de la célébration pour être rangé après la Messe.    Au Xème siècle les Statuta Ecclesiae antiquae décrétèrent que l’acolyte sur le point de prononcer ses vœux devait recevoir dans ses mains un chandelier avec le cierge.   Le Concile de Trente établit une codification très précise pour le service d’autel, composé de six chandeliers à utiliser pendant la Messe et sept chandeliers pour le Pontifical du Pape ou pour celui d’un Évêque. La forme du chandelier dérive de son utilisation initiale en tant que pièce de mobilier profane à l’époque préchrétienne: un pied, une tige, un plateau pour la cire et une pique sur laquelle coincer la bougie.   Au cours du temps, les chandeliers atteignirent des dimensions de plus en plus grandes et un soin de plus en plus poussé de la forme et des décorations.    Les matériaux de fabrication aussi ont évolué avec un ample usage de l’or, de l’argent et d’autres métaux précieux, mais aussi de matériaux plus simples comme le bois et le laiton, selon les moyens de l’église.   Au XVI siècle d’autres règles précises concernant le chandelier furent codifiées: son aspect devait rappeler la croix d’autel ; les matériaux précieux devaient être réservés aux célébrations officielles; sa forme devait être simple, linéaire, avec un pied rond ou triangulaire, la tige ciselée, le plateau circulaire avec une pique pour la bougie.   Le chandelier a conservé ces caractéristiques jusqu’à aujourd’hui avec d’inévitables variantes artistiques et formelles liées aux différentes périodes historiques. DURING THE mid 1970s the popularity of progressive rock was at an all time high with acts such as Yes, Jethro Tull and, especially, ELP enjoying huge album sales and playing to sold out crowds the world over. Of course, shadowing these giants of prog were a number of young upstarts keen to make a challenge for gold and glory, not least of these were American mid-west contenders Starcastle. The band’s carefully executed debut album attracted a number of converts, selling something in the region of a quarter of a million copies, resulting in Epic records taking a keener interest. In an effort to up the ante, so to speak, the band was sent into the studio (Morin Heights, Quebec) to record their next album with flamboyant and creative British producer Roy Thomas Baker (Queen, Journey, Foreigner). ‘Fountains Of Light’ is arguably Starcastle’s finest moment. Davis would have been a perfect fit at Stax or Atlantic in the mid- to late '60s, but his recording career didn't get rolling until the early '70s, when his brand of gruff but passionate blues-based R&B was losing ground in favor of funkier sounds. And while producer Allen Orange consistently drew fine performances from Davis in the studio and gave him powerful and sympathetic backing, Orange's record labels (House of Orange and Seventy-Seven Records) didn't have much muscle in the marketplace. Davis recorded for other labels over the course of his career, including Ace and Luna, but they didn't fare much better with him than Orange's imprints, and Davis was little more than a cult figure when he died in 1984 at the age of 38. The Lost Soul Man collects 25 tracks Davis recorded during his tenure with Orange, and while the presence of repeated alternate takes and unreleased tracks that didn't get the studio polish they need dull the impact of this set just a bit, it's still a potent testament to his talents. At his best, Davis' singing suggests the cool passion of Bobby "Blue" Bland blended with the gritty fire of Wilson Pickett, and he's good enough to merit both comparisons; the slow slink of "I'm Gonna Change," the lover's regret of "I've Got to Pay the Price," the potent groove of "Ain't Worrying About Jody," and the primal shouter "Hot Buttered Love" are all stellar performances and leave no doubt this man could and should have had some hits under more favorable circumstances. While Charly's Sad Shades of Blue offers a broader portrait of Geater Davis' career, The Lost Soul Man does restore some of the man's best moments in the studio to circulation, and fans of great Southern soul will want to give this a thorough listen. ~ Mark Deming

Il faut savoir que les cassettes single (ou K7 2 titres) sont apparues sur le marché français fin 1991 et ont cessé je crois dans le courant de l’année 1994. Format qui a peu intéressé les acheteurs potentiels de musique. La cassette 2 titres prise en sandwich entre le CD 2 titres apparues au même moment (plus pratique à écouter) et le CD album, qui avait tué à l’époque le vinyl (45 tours et 33 tours). AC/DC HIGH VOLTAGE '75 AUSSIE ALB. PRODUCTIONS 009 ONLY SIDE 2 BLU ROO !?!. État : "Bon état" to read absolutely before bidding !!!: this album was released on february 17 1975 in australia so he is 46 years old! it is not a first hand, it has two qualities of exceptions which is worth to be interested in it especially for collectors of vinyls of ac / dc like me and I am asser stalled in this field,  and also unfortunately some three bad points or even four if you count the cover; I will explain to you to start on the state of the vinyl and the cover: the cover on the front and back is appreciable see the photos,  but on each side: in the sleeve an opening of 6 to 7 cm is on the three junction sides so to stay in the real no adding tape,  but is delivered with a pvc protection that keeps everything stable, vinyl level, listen to headphones: the first track side 1;  "baby please don't go" between 13 seconds and 20 seconds from the start shows two minimal jerks barely susceptible and which does not prevent the smooth unwinding of the vinyl, on side 2 "soul tripper" a minimal jerk in the second minute and to conclude another jolt during "show business" halfway through  the track and of course not susceptible: and does not prevent  the smooth running of the vinyl, otherwise all the rest of  the album is masterful, a fucking his ! I would like to point out,  listen to a technics sl 3300 and Tracking force of 1.75 grams (important!) Now we will get into the subject, this vinyl has the particularity of having the roo logo only on side 2 and for explanation:  First pressing with Blue center labels & kangaroo. Track A1 is credited to Broonzy on back sleeve and center labels. Later copies had the side one label changed to correct an error in the writing credit for "Baby Please Don't Go". It was incorrectly credited to Broonzy, but was actually written by Joe Williams - The matrix number is the same, and the label still carries the Blue Roo,  that is used by Alberts, to signify an original Alberts issue. Track A1 is still credited to Broonzy on the back of the sleeve,  but Joe Williams is now credited on the side one label. (these are a lot less common than Broonzy -  at a rate of around Three Broonzy to one Joe Williams, which is also a good indicator that this is not a different issue). AND HAS NOTICEABLE SURFACE MARKS SO GRADED IN GOOD + CONDITION. NOTE WE GRADE ALL OUR RECORDS AS PER RECORD COLLECTOR RARE RECORD PRICE GUIDE ! Notes Blue center labels & kangaroo logo on side B. ORIGINAL Record by Metallica - Ride The Lightning LP made by Bernett Records in France with missprint on color cover. Bernett SB 18026 Bernett France print few copies in green before realized their mistake and printed after in blue like all others country. This missprint done one of the most hard to find Mets items. Black media of course. Comes with original insert. Really in great condition. Media is excellent. Think we can say NM. I don't play it since 1986 (bought in CD this year). Sleeve are really great VG+ (almost NM but this LP have 36 years old). Be careful when you want to find this rare LP: there have been bootleg reissues of this record in color vinyl, don't be fooled: the only real and original bernett green cover version is the one with the black vinyl. The Matrix of this record I am selling is " SB 18026 A" for side A and "SB 18026 B" for side B. both hand etched in the run out  you should be aware that the bootleg has matrix "PA7955 ORLAKE" Also check the back side of my cover, on the left, the white lightning is all the way to the left, on the bootleg the lightning is not all the way to the spine of the cover !
