The Magneplanar MG3.6/R loudspeaker was conceived and designed for perfectionists. One of the most revealing loudspeakers made, it will provide outstanding music reproduction when used with high quality  components. Due to the elegant simplicity and ruggedness of the design, the Magneplanar MG3.6/R loudspeaker will give many years of trouble-free service. The MG3.6/R speaker system consists of a pair of mirror-imaged panels, labeled "1" and "2" (for identification). Each panel contains one, five-foot long ribbon tweeter and  one mid/bass planar-magnetic driver. The planar-magnetic driver consists of a bass section and a midrange section on a common ½ mil. Mylar diaphragm. The crossover components for the bass and midrange are housed in a pair of external crossover boxes. The midrange to treble crossover components are housed in the speaker panel and are non-defeatable. Although the MG3.6/R system is set up for conventional single amplifier operation, the speaker input plates provide for bi-wiring  or bi-amplification as an option.

Gut klingende 2-Wege Lautsprecher von der Firma BRAUN aus Ende der 60er Jahre (1967-1969). Warmer und natürlicher Klang. Nicht so oft zu bekommen ! Ideal für Röhrenverstärker etc. 25 cm Tief-Mitteltöner und ein 25 mm Hochton-Lautsprecher mit hemisphärischer Kalotten-Membran.  Impedanz 4 Ohm.  Belastbarkeit 40 W nach DIN.  Übergangsfrequenz der eingebauten Weiche 1500 Hz.  Übertragungsbereich 25-25000 Hz nach DIN 45500. Beide Frontgitter aus Metall sind insgesamt wirklich gut erhalten ! Optisch haben die Boxen einige Gebrauchsspuren der Jahre. Sie sind beide aber nicht vergilbt - außerdem habe ich sie aufwendig gesäubert und poliert ! Beide BRAUN Embleme auf der Frontseite und beide Aufkleber hinten sind vorhanden. Die Kabel sind noch schön lang, aber "open end" - d.h. ohne Stecker. Ich habe ihnen 8 neue Filzfüsse spendiert. Technisch in einem guten Zustand ! Beide 25 cm Bässe klingen optimal - d.H., kein Scheppern oder ähnliches. Nur bei der einen Box scheint mir der Hochtöner ein Stück leiser zu sein als bei der anderen. Allerdings konnte ich keine Verzerrungen etc. feststellen. Die eine Box scheint auch einmal von hinten (deswegen ?) geöffnet worden zu sein. Aus diesem Grund muss ich sie leider als "teil-defekt" verkaufen (ein Hochtöner). Ich denke aber, dass das leicht zu reparieren sein wird. Abmessungen -  36 cm breit x 22 cm tief x 65 cm hoch. Gewicht -  Circa 16,5 Kilogramm pro Box. Good sounding 2-way loudspeakers from BRAUN from the late sixties (1967-1969). Warm and natural sound. Not often to get ! Ideal for tube amplifiers etc. 25 cm woofer and a 25 mm tweeter with hemispherical dome membrane. Impedance 4 ohms. Load capacity 40 W according to DIN. Crossover frequency of built-in crossover 1500 Hz. Transmission range 25 - 25000 Hz according to DIN 45500. Both front grids made of metal are really well preserved ! Visually, the boxes have some signs of use over the years. They are both not yellowed - besides, I have cleaned and polished them completely ! Both BRAUN emblems on the front and both stickers on the back are available. The cables are still pretty long, but "open end" - without plugs. I gave them 8 new felt feet. Technically in good condition ! Both 25 cm bass speakers are sounding perfect - that is, no clanking or the like. For me, the tweeter on one speaker box sounds as not as loud than on the other speaker box. However, I could not hear any distortions or something like that. Maybe that's why one box has been opened from the back (for me it looks like that).

Sehr schön klingende 2-Wege Lautsprecher von der Firma BRAUN. Warmer und natürlicher Klang. Nicht so oft zu bekommen ! Schwere und massive Ausführung. Ideal für Röhrenverstärker etc. Damaliger Neupreis circa 298 DM pro Stück ! Sie sind beide nicht vergilbt - außerdem habe ich sie aufwendig gesäubert und poliert ! Beide BRAUN Embleme auf der Frontseite und beide Aufkleber hinten sind vorhanden. Bei einem Braun Emblem auf der Frontseite fehlt das "B". Die Kabel sind noch in voller Länge mit Ihren Steckern perfekt erhalten. Ich habe ihnen 8 neue Filzfüsse spendiert. Technisch ebenfalls in einem sehr guten Zustand ! Beide Bässe klingen optimal - d.h., kein Scheppern oder ähnliches. Die Boxen klingen insgesamt richtig gut ! Design by Dieter Rams. Fine sounding 2-way loudspeakers from BRAUN. Warm and natural sound. In this good condition not often to get ! Ideal for tube amplifiers ! Original "new" price about 298 DM per piece ! Both Speakers are visually in very good condition ! The front grilles made of metal are really very well preserved ! Visually, the boxes have very less signs of use ! On one box there is on the thin circumferential white edge (around the front grill) a beginning "cracking" within the white paint  - but this is hardly noticeable in everyday life. We are "non-smokers" ! They are both not ! "yellowed" - and I have cleaned and polished them completely ! Both BRAUN badges on the front and both stickers on the back are there. On one BRAUN badge on the front the "B" is missing. The cables have full length with their original plugs. With 8 new felt feet. Technically also in very good condition !
