The central column is in two distinct sections. The upper section has a striking acanthus shaped rose at the top, it has a  gently turned rim and is intricately embossed below with rich sprays of laurel leaves radiating out from the centre. Below this a vase shaped column, again with rich foliate embossing, sits on a circular plate from which rise up six slender sinuously curving decorative spurs each one with more embossed leaves and a super little daisy on the top. The scalloped circular plate, with a swagged pattern encircling the underside, also forms a rose for the lower section of the column. It has a slightly larger version of the vase shaped column above and sits on a sweeping capital on the top half of the chandeliers centre. It has an Egyptian type design etched around the extended rim forming a lovely scalloped edge. The six arms extend from the fluted band in the centre of the light. Carved along the length with extraordinarily detailed swathes of scrolled leaves, put together with the candle cups that match the top rose on the central column and they are wonderfully opulent and plush. All are complete with original faux candle sleeves. The base of the chandelier is a mirror image of the top centre of the light with the addition of a large pineapple finial in the centre. It is in wonderful vintage condition and the bronze has developed a lovely timeworn patina over the years that really glows when the chandelier is lit. The remarkable attention to detail and lavish workmanship in this chandelier would make it a stunning centrepiece in any home. Very Decorative 3 Light Vintage French Bronze Chandelier A lovely chandelier richly enhanced with flamboyant bronze detailing.   The deep cupped ceiling rose is has an elegant embossed pattern rising from the finely detailed centre. The suspension post has a small delicate hook at the bottom from which is suspended the short chain, which comprises two plain and one fancy link. At the top of the central column is a superb and very large trefoil hook, embossed with detailed swirls of plumage. The column has a slender neck enhanced with soft folded plumes and this widens out to a central piece covered in delightful coquille and acanthus leaves. The centre and base of the chandelier are identical, with a high domed shape, they are smothered in richly detailed trails of acanthus leaves spreading out from the centre and fine stippling on the rim. There is a plain bronze band around the centre and it is from here that the three arms extend.  Each of the rich curling arms is enveloped in sweeping plumes along the length and have deep acanthus flower candle cups set at the end. All are complete with faux candle sleeves. This fine chandelier is completed by lovely bronze finial in the centre base. In excellent condition it has developed a deep aged patina over the years which together with the fine decoration make it a superb and vintage addition to any home. Lavish 5 Light Vintage French Bronze and Crystal Chandelier A stunning chandelier richly enhanced with flamboyant bronze detailing and masses of sparkling crystal drops.     The ceiling rose is beautifully embossed with swathes of furling plumes around the undulating rim and has fluting radiating from the centre. The chain has alternate plain and delicate fancy links. On top of the central column is a bronze tracery rose in the form of an acanthus flower enhanced by three pairs of multi faceted crystal drops attached around the rim. Below this t he slender top section of the central column is delicately textured and sits on a large cup at the base which is richly embossed with furled plumes. The centre body of the light has sumptuously sculpted feathers and acanthus leaves both top and bottom and a plain band encircles the centre. The five opulent arms extend from here each one with a stunning array of feathered plumes and curlicues sweeping along the length. They are all further embellished by two large pairs of glistening button and lattice cut almond crystal drops suspended from them. At each end the candle cups match the rose at the top of the central column, each one also having three further sets of crystals and all are complete with faux candle sleeves. This splendid chandelier is completed with a large bronze finial in the centre base from which is suspended a final large pair of crystal drops. It is in very good vintage condition, the bronze has a fine aged patina and the high quality crystal drops are all complete and undamaged. Antique French Vintage This is a ceramic fitting with a bronze tube and a glass shade. The shade is held on with small screws via a round fitting. It has been rewired with new fabric covered antique style cord. Our lighting all works unless otherwise stated. The bulb fittings are compatable with 240V electrical supply which covers most of the world. If you live in a country that has 110V electrical supply all you need to do to convert the lights is ask an electrician to replace the bulb holders when he is fitting the lights. All the wiring is suitable for world wide use. It's that simple! It weighs 359 grams 12.7 ounces and measures 26.5 cm long about 10 1/2 inches.
