Lecteur de Disquettes 3.5b'"' Modifié pour Atari ST: Specificités: - Lecteur de disquettes PC 1.44Mb démonté, dépoussiéré et modifié pour fonctionner sur Atari ST. - Façade claire: Grise, blanche, Beige... - Compatible Atari 520/1040/Mega ST/STF/STE, TT b'&' Falcon. - Attention: compatible avec les tous premiers Atari STF ayant une diode rouge de témoin de lecteur de disquettes...ou un gros bouton poussoir en guise de bouton d'éjection sous le lecteur de D7......Toutefois, montage plus difficile du fait que la nappe y est plus courte, et les modifications de la plasturgie plus importantes(voir photos 19 b'&' 20) - Prudence, notamment avec la nappe sur ces premiers STF ! - Lecteur devenu non compatible PC, il ne fonctionnera plus sur un PC. - Parfaitement fonctionnel. Marques diverses: Chinon, Matsushita, Mitsumi, ALPS, Sony, Samsung.... Reconditionnés: - Lecteurs d'occasion: démontés, dépoussiérés et modifiés et accessoirement graissé [axe moteur] - !!! plus de compatibilité avec les PC !!! Montage: - Atari 520/1040 STE/STF: Une modification sera nécessaire sur la plasturgie [Partie haute] afin de dégager le bouton poussoir [carré sur PC, parallélépipède sur Atari] - Deux petites coupures nettes au niveau de l'encadrement du bouton d'origine [cf photos 6, 7, 8] - Assez facile a réaliser à l'aide d'une pince coupante. - Mega STE b'&' TT: Modification de la plasturgie en façade nécessaire. La nappe du lecteur n'a pas a subir de torsion. Elle n'est pas inversée sur TT b'&' Mega STE. - Mega STF: modification un peu plus b'"'ardueb'"' de plasturgie en façade [jamais tenté] - Pour les 520/1040 STF/STE: Le branchement de la nappe du lecteur de disquettes est inversé coté lecteur de disquettes [détrompeur vers le haut sur Atari, vers le bas sur PC] - Résultat, une torsion à 180° du cable d'origine, coté lecteur est nécessaire pour le brancher sur un ST. [voir photos 15, 16, 17 b'&' 18] - Pour Falcon: Pas de modifications de la plasturgie, pas de torsion de la nappe. Tips: - Sur 520/1040 STE vous pourrez meme formater des disquettes 1.44MB[MF-2HD] PC à 969728kb à l'aide de FastCopy II ou III sans avoir à obturer le second trou de la disquette ! - Voir toute derniere photo. Modified 3.5b'"' Floppy Disk Drive for Atari ST: Specs: - 1.44MB Floppy Disk Drive opend, cleaned from dust, and modified to work on Atari ST. - Grey, white, beige front side FDD... - Compatibility with Atari 520/1040/Mega ST/STF/STE, TT b'&' Falcon. - Be carefull: Compatible with the first Atari STF, the one with a red DEL as floppy disk drive DEL indicator...or a huge eject button under the floppy disk drive......However, plugin is harder due to the fact that the floppy cable is a bit shorter on those STF and the plastics modifications will be bigger(See photos 19 b'&' 20) - So, be carefull particulary with the floppy cable on those first STF ! - This drive becomes no more compatible with PC: it won't works anymore on a PC. - Fully Working. Many brands: Chinon, Matsushita, Mitsumi, ALPS, Sony, Samsung.... Refurbished: - Used floppy disk drive: opened, dusted off, modified and if necessary greased [motor axis] - !!! no more compatibility with PC's !!! Assembly: - Atari ST: You'll have to modify the plastics [top cover] to release the floppy button [squared on PC,parallelepiped on Atari] Two small cuts on the original framing around the button [see photos 6, 7, 8] - Quite easy to do with cutting pliers. - Mega STE, TT: You'll have to modify plastics on front side but you won't have to rotate cable to plug it on floppy disk. - Mega STF: Plastics modifications should be a bit harder [front sided, never tried] - For Atari 520/1040 STF/STE: Floppy cable plugs are inverted on ST side, it's keyed up on PC whereas it's keyed down on ST.
