Rare Médaille de Crimée turque, modèle pour les sardes, attribuée à un soldat britannique du 79th Regiment of Foot alias "Cameron Highlanders"  Est gravé sur la tranche de la médaille: "Nr 7358 George Waut 79th Highlanders" Il s'agit du modèle initialement destiné aux troupes Sardes portant 'intitulé "La Crimea 1855" (la plupart des médailles intitulées simplement "Crimea", destinées aux troupes britanniques, ont sombré avec le bateau qui les acheminait vers la Grande-Bretagne). Bel état: les reliefs sont encore bien marqués, beau et long ruban ancien moiré Diamètre: 37.0mm / Epaisseur: 2.5mm / Poids: 24 grammes sans le ruban Le ruban fait 3.35cm de large et 14cm de long Levé à l'origine exclusivement parmi le clan écossais des Cameron, le 79th Regiment of Foot était aussi connu sous le nom de "Cameron Highlanders", d'où la gravure abrégée "79th Highlanders" sur la médaille. Mi-1854, Ce régiment a été intégré à la "Highland Brigade" destinée à combattre en Crimée: il a embarqué à Portsmouth pour Scutari en juin, puis a pris part aux batailles d'Alma en septembre 1854 et Balaklava en octobre 1854, puis au siège de Sébastopol durant l'hiver 1854. Il a été rapatrié brièvement en Grande Bretagne avant de partir en Inde pour réprimer la Grande Révolte des Cipayes de1857. Il a reçu en 1873, de la Reine Victoria, le titre de "Queen's Own" et a pris la dénomination de "79th Regiment, Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders". Le modèle C2 est plus rare que le C3, la ressemblance est importante, quelques détails différencient les 2 modèles. L'ARGUS C2 est un appareil photo 35mm utilisé par les GI's durant la WWII. L’Argus C2 est un appareil légendaire, c’est l’une des premières production de masse américaine d’appareils photos. Ce modèle est a été fabriqué en 1939 selon son numéro de série. 50 000 appareils ARGUS seront vendus dans les Post Exchanges durant la seconde guerre mondiale L'appareil est en TBE.Les mécanismes fonctionnent ainsi que le mécanisme de déclenchement (obturateur s'ouvre et se ferme selon le temps de pose souhaité).  Les négatifs pour cet appareil sont toujours en vente (sur Amaz..., site web ou photographes...et peu couteux,entre 5 et 12 euros le rouleau de 36 poses selon la marque, modèle) L'acheteur pourra recevoir les données permettant de dater cette version sans le moindre doute. Cet appareil est un "télémétrique", c’est à dire que les réglages se font en regardant dans un viseur spécial et en tournant l’anneau de l’objectif jusqu’à tomber sur les paramètres voulus pour prendre une photo. Ainsi, on peut regarder dans le viseur normal et cadrer son sujet. Beaucoup plus de réglages sont possibles sur le C2, en comparaison à tous les appareils "lomographiques". La publicité en photo n'est pas jointe à la vente. La marque américaine de matériel optique ARGUS produira du matériel pour l'armée durant la WWII.
