This is a beautiful French vintage open weave polyester net curtain. In excellent condition, appears to be unused. Vintage French mid century hanging ceiling lantern with hand painted floral decoration and white opaque glass shade. The light is made up of a black wrought iron scroll design frame with three hanging chains leading to a central ceiling rose. The white opaque round glass shade sits neatly into the framework. Very large vintage French table lamp carved wood base with hide skin shade. The base of the lamp is round with carved details and is finished in a washed beige color with gold high lights. To the top of the base is a wooden candle drip. Above the candle drip is a white bulb and shade holder and the shade is round in hide skin with a braid around the top and bottom. Bougeoir ancien "Magnifique", bronze, émail, 19ème siècle, époque Napoléon III, France. Le bougeoir ancien du 19ème siècle est très beau et élégant: émail de couleurs bleu, blanc, bleu et rouge avec des cloisons en bronze, comme on l'appelle en France «cloisonné», sous la forme de motifs floraux et floraux inédits typiques de l'époque napoléonienne. Le chandelier est de taille moyenne, stable, lourd, en émail brillant et en bon état. A spectacular and rare antique French hand made quilted bed cover, or piqué de cotton. A large, heavy and warm cover with a thick natural batting (see photo of hole on blue side, the batting is peeping through). The red floral side is in good condition, just a slight difference in the ground, varying from white to cream, 2 tiny "snags". The small blue floral side has a hole which could easily be patched, some areas which are beginning to wear and faint yellow marks, see photos. Have gently washed and sun-dried, the colours did not run and the holes did not expand. Another quilt from the chateau attic brimming with quilts, curtains, fabric, monogrammed linen... 2320g I personally wash and iron all of the linen for sale at Frenchaffaires, it's the best way to closely examine every piece.
