THORENS TD 125 MK II JUST SERVICED in Excellent condition. Sold without tonearm but with the dust cover in near mint condition. The belt has been replaced, some caps and diodes too. Description The TD125 has taken a giant step in banishing rumble, with solid state circuitry replacing the conventional mechanical methods used for electronic speed control. This reduces the number of moving parts and total mass so frequently a rumble producing factor. Motor rotor velocity, another rumble originator, is precisely governed by a dependable Wein Bridge transistorized oscillator. It's frequency is varied exactly (by a gold plated switch) to change the speed of the motor and these adjustments may be viewed instantly on the built-in stroboscope. Motor rotor speed on the TD-125 has been reduced to an incomparable 250rpm at 33 1/3rpm turntable speed. By combining this factor with solid-state circuitry and the Wein Bridge oscillator, Thorens has reduced rumble to an infinitesimal and inaudible -48db (-68db weighted); less rumble than any other turntable on the market! The tonearm and turntable platter of the TD-125 are mounted on an independent chassis. This unit is then shock mounted to another chassis which houses the drive system and controls. As a consequence the tonearm is protected against shocks when the controls are operated and acoustic feedback is minimised because of the absence of vibrations. Vibrations are further decreased by the precision polished, self-lubricating bearings of the turntable platter. Tuner Denon TU 701 in excellent condition. This unit was sold about 64000 yens in 1977 (600 dollars). It is an exceptional tuner, one of the best ever produced. More than 7 kgs and an exceptional musicality. It is working without external antenna. This tuner is in the same category as the Tandberg 3001A but much easier to fix. FM stereo tuner in which the drum type long scale dial plate was carried. In addition to a frequency linear 5-unit variable condenser and one step of RF, MOS FET which was excellent in the noise characteristic is adopted as a front end part. An eight linear phase ceramics filter and LC circuit are adopted as an intermediate frequency amplifier, and the degree of selection is improved to it. Moreover, the improvement of a stereo distortion is also aimed at by adoption of a broadband ratio detection circuit or a phase compensation circuit. Furthermore, sound quality degradation by interference is prevented with the high gain magnification and the seven-step limiter using high accumulation IC. An intermediate frequency magnification circuit for exclusive use is prepared for sub functions, such as a perpendicular multipass terminal, muting, signal meter, and the influence by these circuits is avoided. A large-sized level meter is formed in right and left of the front panel, and the right meter is made signal meter for the left meter with the level meter of multipass meter combination. In the right meter, not only a tuner Output voltage but measurement of external audio voltage, such as a power amplifier output, is possible.

Mc Intosh MR 71 Tuner in very good condition electronically. It has been tested and it works perfectly. This is a tubes tuner considered as one oc the best ever produced. There’s only one problem with it the chrome has been ternished by rust and it would be good for such a tuner to be totally refurbished. My price takes in consideration the rust problem.
