You will be able to experience an unmatched image quality(the sensor is still ranked an all-time #2 in Dxomark with an excellent score of 101, still dwarfing any full format wonder of 2020…), with a body build to last and stay with you for serious studio work, or the wildest adventure outdoor setup. Ricoh-Pentax is legendary for its weather sealing, and so is this body. To be honest, it is only for health issues that I am selling. I tried the Hasselblad mirrorless X1D, the fuji GFX50s (dreadfull experience with the laziest AF in the world and a poor battery life), theGFX100 (much better experience, but I wasn’t impressed by image quality and rendering…must be the glass), and I always come back to the Pentax 645z. I have never been impressed by Fuji GFX image quality. I Liked the Leica S (again it must be the glass and the lens design that make the real differences), the Hasselblad was interesting, but way too expensive comparing with the Pentax, not even considering the weather sealing and the very long list of ergonomic treats you get from Pentax engineers. It is about creating images and only this, it is not a smartphone. It’s a photographer tool, not a toy. In 2018 I was disappointed by Canon full-frame offering. The5d4 was too expensive and there wasn’t a gap in quality from any canon full Frame since 5d2 and I decided to enter the medium format world with the 645z. I already tried it in Japan in 2015 and I said “well, this would be nice…”. After having bought this camera with literally undying battery life (what a refreshment comparing with all electronic newest camera), I just went to my garden and started right away the 120mm macro. I was dumb because I had no AF at all, but discovered the cleverest mechanism for AF/MF switch to date:sliding the focus ring. There is a slight click and I was all set. Yes the screw motor lenses are a bit noisy, but it’s nice and at the first picture of a random blossoming flower…God almighty, it was like a facepalm, struck by beauty and sheer quality. I decided to keep on the Pentax 645z journey and collect some lenses. The 28-45mm was very soon my favorite landscape lens,equivalent to 22-35mm, extraordinary quality, stabilized, totally weather sealed…those words should surprise you as medium format+stabilized lens+weather sealing…seldom go together. Then came the 90mm macro f2.8, stabilized as well and weather sealed. This may simply be the best lens I’ve ever used for portrait work, incredibly smooth yet detailed. Bokeh is one thing but volumes,transition, tones, textures, it’s just amazing for portrait, and pack shots as well. I wanted to try tele lenses, and acquired the 300mm “star”lens. Build like real lenses with metal, feels solid. Image quality was amazing too, I capture incredible shots of tigers with it, and this lens can really tell stories and add a unique identity. All the lenses are incredible, sharp, and each with unique though I must admit the 150mm f2.8, even though hailed as the portrait king by some other photographers, was often left on the shelf. I discover the craft of using 80s East-Germany Isco lenses for the Pentax and I assembled my favorite lens with a 135mm F2projector lens. This one is really a collectible, manual focus only, it cannot go to the infinity (but for portrait, who cares?) require a good amount of focus skills and mastery of yourself, but it is a very rewarding lens. Bien que cet appareil soit conçu pour être utilisé principalement avec la guitare, il dispose également d'une entrée micro jack asymétrique, que je ne recommanderais pas pour un travail d'enregistrement sérieux. Cependant, elle est utile pour les sessions de busking dans les rues avec un digeridoo (ou autre) et vous pouvez même utiliser les entrées micro et instrument en même temps si nécessaire. Although this unit is designed for use mainly with guitar, there's also an unbalanced jack mic input, though I wouldn't recommend this for serious recording work. However, it is useful for those high-street busking sessions with a digeridoo (or whatever) and you can even use the mic and instrument inputs at the same time if need be. The output of the unit is strictly mono and power can come from an optional PSU or from six AA batteries. Digital units like this tend to be fairly hungry on batteries, so the mains adaptor is a good idea — unless you're busking in the high street using a battery amplifier! Working with loops can be a problem, because if you get an overdub wrong, you generally have to go back to square one. However, that's no problem here, as there's a very welcome Undo/Redo button. To help timing, there's also a useful metronome and a facility for having the loop recording end precisely on a beat rather than exactly where you hit the pedal. This is really helpful in creating tight-sounding loops. Once a loop has been recorded, its tempo can be changed without altering its pitch, though as with most time/pitch manipulation there's only so far you can go before the processing artefacts start to show. Other live performance niceties include the ability to store multiple Phrases, then decide whether each should play back as a 'one shot' performance or loop continuously. Because this pedal can store multiple Phrases, and store them after power down, you could load up a few backing tracks into it (from CD, your computer or any other suitable audio source) ready to perform. There's no way to back up loops other than to record the audio output, though, and from my own perspective the ability to dump and load audio files via USB would have made a lot of sense. This classic fixed-lens rangefinder is in very good condition (this is the later, or b'"'New,b'"' more compact version). Lens is clean and clear: no fungus, no haze. There's a small coating scratch on the front element, but nothing that would impact performance. Shutter fires on all speeds. Metering is accurate against my Sekonic. Focus is smooth across the range. Viewfinder is clean and clear, with a nicely contrasty rangefinder patch. Film counter advances and resets properly. Self-timer works. As with most Japanese cameras of this vintage, the light seals on the film door are degraded; if you don't want to replace them, I'd recommend shooting a test roll to check for light leaks before using the camera for serious work. Quoted from Trashblitz website; Grundig GDM-121 Behold one of the foundational pillars of: The Grundig GDM-121, 1950s German vintage gold deluxe, and in all its glory quite probably responsible for this website. It is to this day the only gold coloured microphone we own, and it has such a cute little metal table stand with the Grundig four-leaf clover on it! And, more importantly, it was one of the first “vintage” microphones we acquired that did not simply sound old, funny or broken, and it piqued our interest in a very special way: It sounded fantastic, but there was buzz and hum and all sorts of unpleasant background noises mixed into the signal – and here my quest to  began. I found out that the GDM-121 is a high-impedance version of the Sennheiser MD21, a dynamic omnidirectional reporter microphone which is still being manufactured with only minor design updates, more than 60 years after its release in 1953. In terms of usefulness, this means that it is 100% functionally equal to the MD21, which was used as a reporter mic and in broadcasting. It has many advantages for these purposes – almost no handling noise, no proximity effect, incredibly sturdy (there was supposedly a show on the Sennheiser stage on some fair in the 1950s where an MD21 was dragged up and down a flight of stairs for hours, and it was still operational after this treatment). Since it was developed for vocal applications mainly, it has a presence boost above 3kHz and can withstand really high SPL. Much like with its cardioid sibling, the MD421, it’s virtually impossible to get a distorted signal out of this mic. In the studio, it can be used as a soft, jazzy kick drum mic, on guitar cabinets and on many instruments where you want to capture a mellow and natural ambient sound without very detailed transients or highs. This is because it is a large-diaphraghm dynamic omni, and as such probably unique in its properties even in most serious studio microphone collections.

As you probably know, this is the best JX-3P VA emulation available on the market.   The JX-3P condensed the signature Roland sound users had come to expect into 64 stunning presets. Beautiful design, meticulous craftsmanship, and ease of use—the JX-3P was a Roland synth for aspiring youngster and virtuoso alike. The most attractive quality of the JX-3P is its versatility. The presets alone provide a masterclass in sonic engineering. Present midrange, shimmering high end, punchy bass frequencies—it’s all there in the JX-03.    Augmented by the PG 200, JX-3P users could navigate between out-of-the-box excellence and infinite customization. Visceral control options, not one but TWO stabilizing Digitally Controlled Oscillators, and Roland’s unmatched soundscapes—it’s no wonder the JX-3P shines brightly on countless classic recordings. The JX-03 includes all the controls of the PG-200 and the graphic charter of the JX-3P. The lower row is composed of illuminated buttons, allowing to manage presets, programs, sequences and global functions. On the left there are two expression ribbons with recall and lateral backlighting depending on the position,  one for pitch bend, the other for modulation; the first one also allows pre-listening of sounds when nothing is connected to the machine. The connections, located on the back, are common to the Boutique series: power switch, USB port type micro B (power, MIDI and audio), mini volume control, headphone output, line output, line input (routed directly to the analog/USB audio outputs, for cascading several modules) and MIDI input/output in DIN format. All audio connections are in stereo mini-jack format. Underneath the module is a small speaker (which we'll talk about later) and a hatch for inserting the 4 AA-LR6 batteries supplied (if a USB mic/mains power cord is not supplied). In conjunction with the small speaker and the pitch bend ribbon, they make the synth totally autonomous, at least during the 6 hours announced by the manufacturer. A serious alternative to be considered by those who are put off by the rarity, the price, the ergonomics (without PG-200) and the maintenance of the JX-3P (I know what I'm talking about for having owned and maintained many vintage synthesizers!!)
