This control comes after the LEVEL control, so the signal sent to internal or external effects will also be affected by changes in the LEVEL setting. 3 - MONITOR: Controls the level of the signal sent to the MONITOR bus and MONITOR OUT jack. This control is independent of the LEVEL control and is not affected by it. This means you can create a completely separate mix for on-stage monitoring. 4 - LEVEL: Controls the level of the input signal sent to the MAIN bus. Generally used for creating the mix sent to the audience. 5 - LINE/MIC INPUTS (Channels 1-4): Use the LINE input for instruments that provide line level signals such as synthesizers or drum machines. Use the MIC input for low level signal sources such as microphones. +48V phantom power is available for use with condenser microphones. You can also use both LINE and MIC inputs simultaneously for each channel. 6 - LINE/MIC INPUTS (Channels 5-6): LINE input functions as channels 1-4. LINE/MIC input accepts both XLR and phone jacks. You can connect a stereo signal to both phone jacks (LINE and MIC/LINE) for summing to a mono signal. 7 - DIGITAL EFFECTS: A selection of 16 powerful digital reverb and delay effects to add extra ambiance to your music. A foot switch may be used to turn the digital effects on/off for dramatic sonic changes while playing, and the green indicator lights when the effects are on. 8 - PHANTOM: Turns +48V phantom power on/off for condenser microphones connected to the MIC inputs of channels 1-6. AKAI REMIX 16 - FULL OPTION, 18MB, SCSI Board, OS v1.1 This rarely seen in the wild full option Akai Remix 16 is in perfect working order and looks exceptionally well for its age. It was only seldom used by its one owner. It has all the original parts except for the back side SCSI shield, which was added by me - see photos. The OS is upgraded to 1.1 version to be able to use the SCSI option. It comes with an extra pack of 3 replacement sliders. It is well known that the sliders don’t last well in time. This is why one of my projects was to make plug and play replacement sliders and the machine comes with a bonus pack. The 3 elements are linked together by a metal bar on which the rack handles are mounted. You can, and should, install this equipment in a HiFi rack cabinet for better aesthetics. Amplifier: Akai AM-2250 Tuner: Akai AT-2250L Cassette deck: Akai CS-703D I changed the amplifier's 2 power supply capacitors (replaced by 6800nF 85 volts). I changed the cassette deck belt. I have correctly re-soldered the tuner's light contacts. The equipment works correctly. Bear in mind that these items date from 1978, so no warranty is possible. I don't advise you to use this for parties at very high volume. The ideal is to use it for musical listening with a typical Akai sound from the 70s (very clear in my opinion).
