Disque: en bel état pour son âge, signes d'utilisation mineurs / micro-rayures insignifiantes, très bonne écoute avec juste un rare et très discret bruit de surface parfois audible ici et là (1967!!!), rien d'important. Centre intact. Pochette: propre et sans écriture ni déchirure, juste un peu froissée sur les contours (pochette papier très fine et fragile) et légèrement jaunie par les années, rien de grave là encore. A noter que la pochette a été imprimée en Grande Bretagne mais qu'il s'agit bien de la bonne pochette correspondant à cette édition Néerlandaise. Record: in nice condition for its age, minor signs of use / insignificant hairlines, very good listening with just a rare and very discreet surface noise sometimes audible here and there (1967!!!), nothing major. Intact centre. Sleeve: clean and without writing or tear, just a little wrinkled around the borders (very thin and fragile paper sleeve) and slightly yellowed by the years, nothing serious there again. Note that the sleeve was printed in Great Britain but that it is indeed the right sleeve corresponding to this Dutch edition. "Slug" finds Bono whispering wishes over tension-filled keyboard washes and layers of rhythm. "Your Blue Room," a relaxed kin to "One" and "The Unforgettable Fire," is U2 playing Tindersticks--full of menacing organ, faint, Duane Eddy-like guitar, and starring Larry Mullen, Jr. as a Euro Funky Drummer. Finest among these surreal moves is "Miss Sarajevo," which uses Luciano Pavarotti's tenor as a voice of empowered grief in the melancholy story of a war-torn beauty contest. When ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACKS 1 moves outward, it flies in the direction of the nearest rave--adding world-wide rhythms to Eno's ambient soundscapes, to form a compass of emotions. "United Colours" is a straight-up techno track with passing samples of scratched records, fly-by vehicles and looped voices. "One Minute Warning" is an eerie alarm, complete with African and electronic beats, a machine-gun ticker-tape pulse, and an incomprehensible Eno-led choir seemingly ushering in the apocalypse. The album ends with a mixture of the two explored worlds: "Theme From Let's Go Native" is a bit of tribal rockisms, led by a stray dub bassline and Edge's simple chords.
