From the back plate come the two curved arms each leading to leaf shaped candle drip holders and the candle drips are cream plastic. This very attractive vintage French 8 arm chandelier is in the style of a tied bouquet. From the centre bar comes an array of pretty green leaves. foliage and lily flowers in shades of pink. The 8 arms form part of the tied bouquet feature at the bottom of the chandelier and are scrolled leading to pink flower shaped candle drip holders. The candle drips are beige hard plastic and are in keeping with the chandelier. The chandelier hangs from a 1 link chain bar and flower style ceiling rose. Very large vintage French table lamp carved wood base with hide skin shade. The base of the lamp is round with carved details and is finished in a washed beige color with gold high lights. To the top of the base is a wooden candle drip. Above the candle drip is a white bulb and shade holder and the shade is round in hide skin with a braid around the top and bottom. Gorgeous, so elegantly French, beautiful wall 'appliques'.  Beautiful  almost ormolu colour..  Such elegance!  Heavy and very good quality They measure approx 11 1/4" (28.5cm) in length.  The wiring is good - it looks new.   (It is always generally advised to get electrical items checked and fitted by a qualified person.)  There are a few nibbles on the top of the  'candles' s to each light as to be expected with age - so they look, perfectly aged in my view!  They are also different on each light as often happens.. These are really beautiful  wall sconce's.  They could go anywhere in the house.  Beside the bed, in a hall way over a hallway table...  I personally like them when they are set at different levels or perhaps in a bathroom to add a superb touch of elegance!  But that is just my preference... To put these wherever you want - don't forget, you can actually have long wires put onto these, and then simply plug them into a socket. You cover the flex in a long tube of ruffled material to disguise it a little and that way - they can go wherever you want them to! These will be sent by registered post. Feel free to ask questions. Thistle - a beautiful and prickly flower - the national symbol of Scotland. This plant is admired and loved by the people of Scotland, for which they received the name "Scottish Rose" from them. "No one will touch me with impunity" (lat. Nemo me impune lacessit) - the royal motto, historically used on the Royal coat of arms of Scotland, which shows the thistle, and the words of the motto can rightly be attributed to the thorny thistle! The vintage box "Thistle" is round, large and roomy, a rare plot and so realistic.
