Current weight is slightly above 10kg with pedals. Sold without pedals Artisanal frame made in Tours (Loire Valley) with Camus steel tubes (carbon manganese) (approx. 2kg) Brand new paint job (power coated). Chromium fork with Gipiemme insert (approx. 780g) Shimano 600 (6207) front, rear derailleurs and crankset (50/40). Shimano 600 (6208) freewheel, 6 speeds (14-16-18-20-22-24). Shimano 600 (6400) headset. Early 90’s shimano cantilever brakes with brand new Swisstop Rat pads. Suntour bar end shifters. No brand brake levers. Brand new seatpost and leather San Marco Rolls saddle Mavic Module E rims. Rear hub unknown, front hub maillard 600. Front wheel is not perfectly true but it is more than ok. It has a beautiful Reynolds 501 frame with full rear chromed and Bocama Professionnal cut lugs, and it's equipped with high end parts such as the full Shimano 600 6207 groupset. Vends vélo Gitane, modèle champion du monde de 1974 (estimation), entièrement restauré dans son état d’origine, hormis le groupe de dérailleurs d’origine qui a été remplacé: le groupe Simplex d’origine possède des composantes plastiques. De ce fait, pour plus de robustesse, il a été remplacé par un groupe Simplex Super LJ / SLJ tout en métal. Possibilité de fournir le groupe d’origine si besoin. C’est un vélo haut de gamme, rare dans cet état de conservation. Peinture orange d’origine superbe. La peinture est quasiment intacte, quelques petits éclats par endroit, dû à l’usure du temps. Les chromes sont dans un parfait état. Un produit anti rouille a été appliqué en surface. L’étiquette R CHEVALIER du vendeur d’origine a été conservée sur le vélo par un souci d’authenticité. Vendu avec la pompe Gitane d’origine. Tous mes vélos sont entièrement démontés puis restaurés, incluant une réfection entre autre du boitier de pédalier, du jeu de direction. Les consommables (cables, gaines, etc…) sont changés pour assurer un confort et une sécurité dans le passage de vitesses, le freinage et l’adhérence. It has been restored to its original condition, except for the deraillers groupset which has been replaced: the original Simplex groupset has components made of plastic. Therefore, in a matter of robustness, an all metal Simplex Super LJ has been mounted. Original groupset can be provided as per request. This is high quality racing bike, rare in that condition. The original orange paint is in very good condition, nearly intact (very small impacts). A anti rust product has been applied on the surface. The sticker R CHEVALIER of the original selling shop has been kept as it is on the bike for more authenticity. Sold with the original Gitane pump. All my bicycles are totally dismounted, then restored. Consumables (cables, cable housings) are changed to ensure comfort and safety in gears changing, breaking and tacking.
