Front developer

Responsibilities * Integrated with the XWiki open source development team, you will be working on several front end technologies, in order to develop and improve the XWiki open source platform * Respect deadlines and deliver good quality projects to our community * Continuously show a constant interest in improving development practices and quality of the work Technical requirements * Strong knowledge of HTML and CSS * Good knowledge of Javascript librairies (especially prototype) * Ability to deliver cross-browser implementations * Knowledge of at least one server-side scripting language (especially velocity) * Database knowledge (experience with MySql for example) is a plus; ORM/hql is even better * Knowledge and interest about automated testing: unit testing (e.g. JUnit), mock objects (e.g. JMock), automated UI testing (e.g. selenium2/webdriver) Other expected skills * You're interested in software engineering and eager to work with state of the art development practices * You know or can learn how to use JIRA (or a similar bug-tracking tool) * Your oral and written English skills allow a fluent communication with the international team, both on the open source mailing lists and the IRC channels * You're self-motivated: you are able to deliver without close supervision and report proactively on our channels about issues and status of the work in progress Benefits * This position can be either part time or full time * XWiki is an international company, you will work in a tight collaboration with our teams in Iasi and Paris * You will have the opportunity to participate to the improvement and evolution of our Open Source technology and products learning from a much wider community of developers. * We offer a good compensation package with a competitive salary and bonuses based on performance.
