It provides a very firm locking of the door and thus the door will not open during playback or recording unlike all other D3 and DD series. Originally the early versions of the D3 series were designed to be used mostly by journalists who needed a solid and reliable device which allowed the cassette compartment to stay well closed. But later Sony abandoned this system due to high production costs. The Walkman was completely disassembled, cleaned from old oil and grease and re-lubricated. Center gear, capstan ring rubber, counter belt and RWD reel gear have been replaced with new parts. There is some wear and tear but this is expected for a vintage camera of this age. I have fitted a new battery for the exposure that works great.  Camera comes with two FD lenses: 50mm f/1.8 and a 70-210 f/4. Both lenses sadly have some fungus, which can be fixed by an enthusiast or professional. The 50mm 1.8 aperture blades seem a bit sluggish and need some TLC.  French: Le corps de l'appareil AE-1 fonctionne très bien, ainsi que le mode priorité d'obturation. Une nouvelle pile pour le posemètre a été installé. Le boîtier est en bon état! Le boitier vient avec deux objectifs Canon FD. Une 50mm f/1.8 et une telephoto 70-210mm f/4. Malheureusement, il y a un peu de champignons à l'intérieur de ces deux objectifs, ca peut être nettoyé par des enthousiastes ou professionnels.
