État : "Occasion" Cemodèle apparu en 1986 reprend la combinaison classique érable-acajou desmodèles standard mais sans le « superflu » c’est ça direprincipalement l fileterie sur le corps et sur la touche, ce qui donne unaspect plus sobre à l’instrument. Sinon on retrouve les micros Gibson 490R aumanche et 498T au chevalet comme sur les Standard et Custom de l’époque. LesGibson de cette époque (années 90) ont une excellente réputation qui estméritée. Celle-ci a la particularité d’avoir une touche en ébène et non en palissandrecomme sur la plupart des Studio. On retrouve généralement l’ébène sur lesmodèles haut de gamme (Custom en particulier). Elle possède donc un corps sculpté en Acajou avec table Erable, un manche colléen Acajou avec touche en ébène, un accastillage doré et un jeu de deux microsdouble bobinage Gibson 490R et 498T individuellement dotés de contrôles devolume et tonalité. Gibson Melody Maker 2009. Excellent état. Frettes 10/10, elle est impeccable. Elle a du caractère, elle est nerveuse et elle sonne juste, une véritable machine à riffs, j'en ai eu deux et celle-ci a plus de sustain et de résonance (j'ai tiré le bon numéro si je puis dire). Blues, Punk, Garage rock, Hard Rock c'est une guitare simple mais redoutablement efficace. On reconnaît bien le son Gibson et la sonorité typique de l'acajou. Le manche n'a pas bougé depuis un peu plus de 10 ans, droit, plane avec une action normale et standard, (réglages d'usine Gibson U.S.A), aucun grésillement des potentiomètres, elle ne se désaccorde jamais, même quand on la sort de son étui 6 mois après. Un carton solide (dernière photo) est prévu pour l'envoi. C'est une très bonne réédition qui prendra de la valeur (par ailleurs je la vends sous la cote actuelle moyenne de 550€, de plus dans un état neuf et en cadeau j'offre une housse vintage qui lui va bien).

That guitar sports a one-piece mahogany body. There are a few playing marks (at the back, hard to shoot), nothing to worry for a 22 years old guitar. La face avant de la guitare est presque immaculée. La seule raison pour laquelle je vends est comme mon style musical a changé, et je joue maintenant presque exclusivement des simples bobinages, et je ne dispose pas des fonds pour le luxe de garder cette guitare étonnante autour. Je dois aussi une tête Hayden Mofo 30 Watt Classe A Valve ampli, la main filaire par Dave Green au Royaume-Uni, avec une cabine de 2x12. Vraiment polyvalent idéal ampli à lampes de sondage, si quelqu'un est intéressé. On y trouve aussi un câble de haut-parleur de haute qualité, sacoche de transport pour l'ampli avec bandoulière, la certification pour l'ampli et le câble «Y» pour la boucle de fx.

Cette Wine Red (couleur assez typique de ces années) fête ses 20 ans cette année, elle est en bon état pour son âge. Sans trous et autres tentatives pour l'alléger, la balance indique qu'elle est juste sous la barre des 4,3kg. La décennie 90 est une excellente période pour Gibson, la qualité de fabrication était très bonne et constante. Cette Standard ne déroge pas à la règle: la guitare sonne, il y a du sustain bref, c'est une Les Paul qui fait son job à la perfection.
