RICHARD WAGNER LETTRE AUTOGRAPHE SIGNEE 1872 (19 septembre) BAYREUTH A SON EDITEUR FRITZSCH   DOCUMENT UNIQUE   Lettre répertoriée n° 6266 (Wagner Briefe Verzeichnis, Wiesbaden, Breitkopf & Härtel, 1998)   Lettre importante: Wagner y détaille avec précision ses consignes éditoriales concernant ses oeuvres complètes, éditées chez Fritzsch, puis mentionne son proche emménagement en ville (à Bayreuth, enfin !); la missive a été précisément datée par rapport à cet événement capital, car Wagner, dans sa hâte, n'a lui-même pas indiqué la date, mais le jour et le mois seulement, ce qui est très exceptionnel, voire unique dans l’ensemble de sa correspondance; au dos, note au crayon (parfaitement conservée, rarissime !) faisant référence à un envoi promis par l'éditeur, et qui n'est pas encore arrivé; comme Wagner est parrain du fils de Fritzsch, il lui déclare avec humour que son oubli "ne [lui] vaudra aucune bénédiction" !   RICHARD WAGNER HAND WRITTEN AND SIGNED LETTER 1872 (september, 19th) BAYREUTH TO HIS PUBLISHER FRITZSCH   UNIQUE DOCUMENT   Letter n. 6266 in the general catalogue of all letters by Wagner (Wagner Briefe Verzeichnis, Wiesbaden, Breitkopf & Härtel, 1998)   Important letter : Wagner tells very precisely how he wants his complete literary works to be edited, by Fritzsch, and indicates that he is going to settle down in the city (in Bayreuth, at last !) ; this detail allowed the searchers to find the exact date of the letter, although Wagner, in his haste, only mentioned the day of the week and the month, which is very rare, even unique in his whole correspondance ; on the obverse, written in pencil (absolute rarity, very well preserved !), a reference by Wagner to a score promised by Fritzsch, but that he still has not received ; being the godfather of Fritzsch’s son, Wagner declares with humour that having forgotten won’t bring Fritzsch « any blessing » !
