André Fertier & Clivage - Kassiopee - F.L.M.V. - FLMV 3073, Rumeur 3021 - France 1984 From Prog Archives: Andre Fertier's Clivage biography Andre Fertier's Clivage released 3 albums from 1977 to 1985. The sound Clivage portrays might bring to mind, Italian band Aktuala for their similar use of eastern influence. Clivage fused together jazz, eastern and Indian influences creating a mesmerizing instrumental mixture. Listening to the music can offer the listener the opportunity of going into trance-like state with the droning atmosphere. With such instruments as tabla, saxophones, violin, acoustic guitar and synthesizer they deliver a compelling and rich sound, gentle melodies and magical mood. The music will please those looking for a meeting of musical cultures.  The first two albums will be the most pleasing to people who like the style mentioned above (especially the first album, Regnia Astris), although the third album is not that far off the previous ones in terms of sound, only more concise.  Clivage should appeal to people who like Aktuala, Third Ear Band and Shakti.  A very few light airlines on a vinyl, don't affect playing..play great all the times!!!. Cover have a minor damage on a corners, small folds front/back...2/3 Marks on a front & little begining ring wear... *VINYL: NM *COVER: VG+

EX Excellent The record shows some signs of having been played, but still plays perfectly. The vinyl may have some tiny wear or marks, but nothing major and nothing that affects play. The cover could show only slight wear and/or creasing but it’s still close to mint. La pochette est splendide, quelques signes manipulations, petites pliures, rien d’important quasi neuve   VG+ Very Good+ The record have been played many times, show wear, small marks or light scratches but nothing deep. G Good The record displays considerable surface noise, visible but non-deep scratches, but still it’s playable and enjoyable and it does not jump. The cover shows strong wear, creasing, spine splits, cut out hole, pen marks or tears but is still in one piece.

Terrific movie, marvelous restoration, outstanding use of the 3D If you have any problem with the 3D in "Dial M for Murder", you should really revise your system. It looks terrific, the restoration is sharp and pristine; no double images at all, at least in my Sony 55' with active glasses. Yes, rear projection is flat and some inserts are grainy, but that is precisely the way it was originally shot. The restoration is completely faithful to the original. Hitchcock made what is probably the most intelligent use of the 3D ever, making the movie look like a play on a stage (the story was originally a play). Grace Kelly's hand reaching out is the most carefully crafted and impressive 3D shot I have seen. The use of the 3D is so good that one gets to foget about it to be just immersed in the story. What else can be said? Oh, yes, of course, more 3D classics, please.

THIS IS AN EXTREMELY HARD TO FIND  CD FROM MY PERSONNAL COLLECTION  RARE IMPORT CD, REALLY HARD TO FIND, EVEN IN FRANCE.  DON'T MISS THE OPPORTUNITY TO GRAB THIS COLLECTOR'S ITEM. WONDERFUL ALBUM, IF YOU LIKE MEMPHIS SLIM , YOU WILL ENJOY THIS CD ! FOR CONNOISSEURS AND COLLECTOR'S ONLY  - Alto Saxophone – Alex Atkins (tracks: 1 to 5, 8 to 14), John Calvin (2) Bass – Sam Chatman Drums – Billie Stepney Guitar – Matt Murphy Tenor Saxophone – Ernest Cotton (tracks: 1 to 5, 8 to 14) Vocals, Piano – Memphis Slim AllMusic Review by Bill Dahl The most complete gathering of Slim's 1958-1959 Vee-Jay output available on disc (16 songs to the even dozen on the Gate of Horn domestic disc) and the best-sounding too. This is the crowning achievement in Memphis Slim's massive legacy -- he delivers his classics one right after another, backed by his unparalleled combo that was anchored by Matt "Guitar" Murphy's startlingly fresh solos. Along with the standbys -- "Messin' Around," "Mother Earth," "Wish Me Well" -- there's the catchy instrumental "Steppin' Out," later covered by Eric Clapton; the romping "What's the Matter," and a blistering "Rockin' the House" where the band nearly sails right out of the studio! - Have a look on my others JAZZ / WESTCOAST / AOR / SOUL / FUNK / R&B items on.  Many collector’s items from my personal collection are available.
