This amp was built 9-8-2011 and is a 50 watt solid state rectified V3. The Two Rock Custom Reverb Signature V3 is a versatile two channel amplifier from boutique makers Two Rock. The Custom Reverb has always been a culmination of everything Two Rock creators Bill & Joe have learned since day one. Version 3 adds a new loop and Contour controls to this classic design. The Custom Reverb V3 has two distinct channels Clean and Lead, the Clean Channel is the classic pure Two Rock tone with endless depth and headroom. If you are looking for the famous John Mayer clean tone - this is it. The Lead channel has a superb warmth to it and the various controls on the V3 allow you to tweak and refine the sound to your perfect tone. Two Rock use carefully selected components and a hand built approach to craft some of the finest quality amplifiers we have come across. Just taking a peak inside the chassis is a lesson in what true craftsmanship is. The Custom Reverb V3 has an extensive range of controls giving you total control over it superb tone. The Custom Reverb V3 is an amp you can really sit down with and spend hours discovering new tones and subtle variations but the core sound is always pure and true to you. Custom Reverb Signature V3 ControlsTreble Control - Adjusts the high frequency response. In the full counter-clockwise position, high frequencies are bypassed to ground. Voices placed in front of drums (as it should be), colour and tidiness of voice to die for. *Step 4: potentiometer turned from 1 o’clock to max. Too much of a good thing equals nogood. *Back to 11 o’clock – back to heaven. The sound reminded me to the “deep listening” sessions after bong (ab)use when I was young(er). *The last step: SR Plug switched of. The sound I’ve thought was fine. seemed - wall of sound! Plugged again. I will never unplug it again. I damn love it. However, I preferred the QAPlug from Kemp. My dealer pointed out that the QA-Plug had been upgraded in the meantime, the new version allowing the listener to adjust its strength. This new QA-Plug clearly outperforms the original one! I bought four of them! Two are positioned at the front and two at the back of my listening room, giving the sound from my multichannel system much more realism and sense of space.
