Up for sale is a near mint example of the latest and greatest Audio Analogue AA Phono Stage. Picking up where the Aria left off, the AA Phono preserves the Audio Analogue house sound (fluid and tonally rich, with a touch of tube like warmth - but solid-state speed and bass depth), but adds extra soundstage width, focus, and much blacker, quieter backgrounds. Flexibility is top notch with absolutely every possible cartridge load and capacitance catered for - including very low output MC cartridges. Setup is very quick and easy via two rows of switches on either side of the unit, right below the front plate. Build quality is second to none, both inside (3 toroidal transformers, dual mono construction, high quality subsonic filter and shielding) and outside (the design, fit and finish are a joy for the eyes). Specs are as follows: - MM gain (@1KHz) - 40 dB - MC gain (@1KHz) - 65 dB - Frequency response (+/-0.25dB) - 10Hz - 20KHz - MM signal/noise ratio - 89 dB - MC signal/noise ratio - 72 dB - Standby power consumption (230VAC) - 0.7 W - Dimensions (H x W x D) - 87 x 220 x 372 mm - Weight - 5.8kg The unit will come professionally packaged, although without original box or manual. It was meant for a fourth (...) system which will in fact not happen. Any questions please ask. Thanks for looking !

Little jewel, one of the greatest headphones amplifiers ever, extremely rare on sale, in perfect working condition and aesthetics, almost like new. Trully impressive, addicting sound. Higly regarded by audiophiles, a true reference and a collectible item. Would loved to keep this one, I'm selling it reluctantly... Comes with original box and accessories, well packaged. Would consider posting it internationally but please, ask for a quote as the postage differs from country to country and the amount in the description is for European Union only, thanks. b'"' In terms of the criteria that I listen for in any amp, transparency, noise, dynamics and the ability to get me out of my head and into the music, Prime is well, prime. All in all, a seemingly impressive effort that covers all the bases.b'"' From Neil Gader's review in The Absolute Sound head-fi.org/threads/meridian-prime-headphone-amplifier-review.691392/ Headfonia: MERIDIAN PRIME - ENGLISH EXCELLENCE b'"'Does The Prime Live Up To The Meridian Name? First I tried the Prime as an Amp/Dac combo (with PSU) and I immediately loved the sound from this demo unit: Enormous Clarity, great detail retrieval from bass to treble, top precision and dynamic sound. All presented with just the right amount of air between the instruments. Musical and detailed sound with a superb flow. The Prime sounds fast and is neutrally tuned but the best solid state kind there is. Maybe it is just slightly forward sounding, but not that much. Bass is tight, goes deep, is well layered and has a lot of detail but doesn’t have the big body of say the Beyerdynamic A20 amplifier (but it has far better quality). The Prime is a linear tuned unit and I find the bass to be perfect (and that’s an understatement) with the Audeze and Hifiman headphones but more on those later. The Prime’s mids are slightly more forward sounding, especially the vocals, but they are not bright. Don’t get me wrong on that because they sound incredibly good: perfect separation, great timbre, heaps of detail but never over-analytical and always musical and dynamic. Treble is extended and detailed but never harsh sounding. I do like my treble and the Prime does a splendid job for my taste. Treble is on the same level as the mids and bass: clarity, detail and sparkle. The Prime’s sound stage is wide and deep with a perfect balance and 3-dimensionality. I fell in love with the Prime’s sound as a DAC/Amp unit. For me this is top audiophile sound.b'"' The Prime can also be used as a DAC and Pre Amp in combination with a power amp, headphone amp or active speakers. There is no disappointment here, the Meridian DAC delivers a stunning performance in combination with my desktop sized solid state and tube amps. I love a clear, detailed and neutral DAC with a huge sound stage. Who wouldn’t? Well this is one of those DACs I could live happily ever after with. It ads nothing to the sound, in a good way that is, and using it as a pre amp boosts the performance of your amplifier. headfonia.com/meridian-prime-english-excellence/ The Prime is a top-class headphone amplifier and a surprisingly talented stereo preamp. Meridian is a master at signal processing, so it’s no surprise to find ‘Analogue Spatial Processing’ on board the Prime. It’s a function designed to counteract the fact that stereo recordings are designed to be played over speakers, not headphones. ASP blends the left and right channels to varying degrees – there are three options – to try to create a more natural presentation. These features can often compromise clarity and focus to improve sound staging, but ASP sounds pretty convincing. The Prime also works well as a dedicated stereo preamp. It’s certainly right up there with some of the best preamps we’ve heard at around the £1000 mark. En savoir plus

Beyerdynamic T90: High-end cans with remarkably accurate sound. Extremely wonderful sounding headphone, in perfect working condition, very little used as I prioritised my other headphones. Was protected with a plastic foil at the beginning, no smoking environement. Comes with original box and all the accessories. Could consider posting it internationally but please, ask for a quote as the postage differs from country to country and the amount in the description is for European Union only, thanks. kenrockwell.com/audio/beyer/t90.htm b'"'The Beyer T90 are superb headphones, especially if you want detailed, open, uncolored sound with tight, natural bass. If the T90 are too expensive, get them anyway! Unlike consumer electronics like a flat-screen TV or digital camera that you'll want to throw away in 5 years or less, invest your money in headphones or speakers and you'll still be enjoying them decades from now. I still use my original set of Beyer DT990s that I bought in 1986. They seemed expensive then, but the price has long been forgotten while their quality is remembered every day. Headphones don't wear out or age. So long as you don't abuse them too much, they ought to outlive you. Never get cheap with headphones or speakers; they don't become obsolete as do electronics; these are completely passive transducers. The T90 overall has a very good detail retrieval, maybe not at the same level of the Sennheiser HD800 but one of the best I’ve heard so far. Left-right balance and 3-dimensionality are simply incredible, just like the huge sound stage. The presentation in general is rather airy and there is a lot of space between the instruments. The T90 is a tight sounding headphone that’s not coloring the sound, well maybe just very slightly but you get a very clear and realistic presentation no matter what genre you’re listening to. The T90’s bass is very tight and has reasonable impact/body. Bass detail and layering are very good and bass goes really deep. T90 is strong with everything, I really mean that the T90 is strong with all musical genres, I’ve even spent quite a lot of time with it watching movies and I couldn’t find a genre that doesn’t match with this headphone.b'"' Steve Guttenberg, cnet.com/reviews/beyerdynamic-t90-review/ Conclusion: The Beyerdynamic T90 is expensive, but for well-heeled audiophiles the price will seem reasonable. I know of no other less-expensive headphone that can match the T-90's combination of comfort, sound, and build quality. Perhaps the biggest downside to the T90 is that it's not well-suited to portable use, but few full-size, audiophile-oriented headphones are. The T90 is best savored at home, plugged into a high-quality headphone amplifier or AV receiver. DAC 3 A very innovative USB DAC blending modern tech with renowned TDA1543 true multibit Philips ® chip for that pure vintage "analog" listening experience... And with its very innovative on-board, always active, jitter-killing reclocker, it will sound equally good from all your sources: USB or SPDIF (coaxial and optical). Problematic, highly jittery sources, like set-top boxes, or wireless audio transmitters (airplay and the like) will now sound just like any well-designed high end transport. And yes, USB too !!! It fits in the palm of your hand, and can be battery operated, so you can take it with you and have your friends enjoy it too ! TDA1543 + Reclocker x (USB or DIR9001) + Battery power = GREAT SOUND ! Why did you design this DAC ? Nobody can be "told" what a good DAC is, you have to hear it for yourself... After searching myself for the "perfect" DAC, I stumbled on forum discussions about how these "vintage" DACs from Phillips® sounded so good. I was getting a little skeptical about those "natural" and "analog" statements for the sound of those converters, but as so many people seemed to make converging descriptions, I was left with the feeling it was not just a legend... I decided I had to build one, and try for myself ! As the result was more than surprising... I told myself: wow, I got to show that to my friends... And what most of my friends said: "can you build one for me ?" Call that a market study... Why do audiophiles do not like the sound of current oversampling DACs ? Oversampling DACs are textbook correct, right ? So they should sound perfect, no ? Well... While it is true that oversampling DACs are textbook correct, if you make the wrong assumptions about the human hearing system, you may end up making mistakes, even if you do the math right ! Let me give you a simple example: it is generally assumed we hear the spectrum of sounds, but can't hear the phase. Now try "binaural beats" on Google and listen for yourself. These clearly show the phase information IS sensed, AND remains present far inside the brain. So maybe the spectrum-only approach to DAC design is not telling the whole story... Traditional non-oversampling DACs from the past did not make any assumptions about hearing mechanisms, they just tried to replicate in analog what you fed them digitally as closely as possible... What are the main features of this DAC ? And what are the main goals of its design ? Extract the pure performance of the last built non-oversampling true 16-bit TDA1543 DAC from Philips® Provide equally high sound quality on either USB or SPDIF sources thanks to a very innovative reclocker USB, Optical & Coaxial inputs (a simple press on the button switches them in round-robin fashion) NO DRIVER Install necessary: uses the stock drivers of your OS: Linux, MacOS, and yes, Windows too (all flavors, XP, Win7/8...) just plug on USB and it's your default sound output ! Simple is beautiful... The less you process sound, by adding unnecessary stages, the more transparent result you get. A minimalist non-oversampling DAC will achieve that goal, and by being transparent, will give you great musical pleasure, and deep connection to musical emotions... What are owners of your DACs saying ? The first person to receive my DAC 3 was one of the Indiegogo crowdfunders, here is what he says about it (personnal email, reproduced with permission): "I've been using my DAC3 and am very pleased with it's sonic performance. The DAC3 digs deep into recordings and uncovers subtle musical details that I've missed using other DAC's. It also sounds very analogue and not at all harsh." Kind regards, Andrew Smith."     These are evaluations of my DAC 3...        Includes: 1x DAC 3 2x NiMH Batteries inside Note: power supply is not included, as it's designed to power from USB external power adapters are supported too, any 12V-24V (15V 1A recommended) wall transformer will do, laptop supplies are ok too, car power also... Video with detailed explanations on the design of this DAC: More details at: http://audio.starting-point-systems.com/   WARNING: If like me, you have the habit of cranking up the volume knob of your amp just to check if the device connected to it has its power on... don't do it with that DAC ! It's background noise is so low (no kidding) it just will fool you into thinking it's maybe not connected. Pressing the "play" key on your CD transport or favorite PC software will blow your speakers, kill your ears, piss-off your neighbors... How do I know... Well, it happened to me... Clone de la TB-303 modifié par Circuitbenders, en parfait état, hormis les stickers qui se décollent un peu. Fonctionne nickel. Moded by Circuitbenders clone of the famous TB-303. Fully working. Demo here: https://youtu.be/GSebDXf9rP4 Here are the specs: The MAM MB33 Retro is the latest version of the MB33 / FAT FREEBASS clone of the infamous Roland TB-303. As standard it features all of the original TB-303 controls, and also has an external audio input through the filter and VCA. Overlapping midi notes gives you that essential 303 note slide, and any midi note with a velocity of 120 or more will trigger the note accent. Realistically if this synth was programmed correctly, you would be VERY hard pressed to distinguish between this unit and a real 303 in a mix. In a side by side comparison i'd say it sounds a little meatier than the Behringer TD3, with a little more girth and analogue weight to the sound. We have modded this machine with our circuitbenders Acid FM mods to give a huge range of extra sounds, without diluting the essential TB-303 character. MODS INCLUDE: VCO On/Off Switch: Normally when you plug a jack into the external VCF input, the MB33's VCO is automatically removed from the mix. As there may be occasions where you don't want this to happen, or situations such as when you're using the filter lock mod (see below) when you want to be able to turn the VCO on and off yourself, we've added a switch to add manual control of this. VCO Drive: The MB33 retro seems to be designed to slightly distort the output stage at full volume, much like the TB303 did. The Drive mod boosts this distortion savagely for some grungy acid techno sounds. This mod increases the maximum amount of distortion at maximum volume. The intensity of the distortion can be set using the normal volume knob. Resonance Boost Switch: An annoying issue with these machines is that the resonance never reaches self oscillation (but then neither did the TB303) and also drops off considerably when the cutoff is over 3/4 of the way up. We've solved this problem by adding the resonance boost switch. With this switch activated the filter starts to squeal with the resonance about halfway up, and then just screams with self oscillation at any higher settings. The resonance boost is especially effective when used with the VCF FM mods. VCF FM: Essentially VCF FM (Frequency Modulation) allows you to modulate the filter cutoff at audio frequencies to create all kinds of clanging cross modulation and bizarre alien splatters & sweeps. This effect works best with the resonance cranked up into self oscillation which is where the resonance boost mod comes into play. The FM controls allow you to select one of four sources for the FM signal. The first is the normal filter input socket round the back. This means you can run a sound through the filter section, but also use that sound to modulate the filter cutoff at audio frequencies at the same time. The second source is a new FM input jack on the right hand side of the case. Using this source allows you to run a sound through the filter from the VCF input or just use the internal VCO, and at the same time modulate the filter cutoff with an entirely independent sound source at the FM in jack. The actual audio from the FM in jack is not heard. The remaining two sources are the sawtooth and square wave signal from the main oscillator. These can be selected as sources completely independently of the setting on the VCO waveform knob The FM source select knob also has an 'off' setting. The amount of FM applied to the VCF is controlled using the VCF FM knob. VCF CV input: This mods adds 3.5mm jack on the right side of the machine that will accept an external CV to control the filter cutoff. The CV input should range from 0-5v. Higher voltages, or negative voltages are NOT recommended. This mod also adds a switch on the front to toggle between internal and external cutoff cont

The MP 2500 R has the same overall design philosophy and technical facilities like the smaller MP 2000 R MK II player. Both have been developed to reproduce high-res audio files without any trace of compromise. Instead of a CD mechanism T+A have equipped the MP 2500 R with the SACD drive from T+A's High-End SACD player MP 3100 HV which is a completely new development.  As in the MP 2000 R MK II, PCM data is converted using T+A's outstanding double differential quadruple converter with all it‘s sophisticated digital signal processing. DSD data are handled by the unique analogue T+A true 1-bit DSD converter from the PDP 3000 HV, which processes the DSD data in native form as a bitstream rather than converting them. This makes it possible to reproduce DSD data up to DSD 512, as delivered by the USB input of the digital connecting board, to the highest level of quality.  The machine’s streaming client takes the form of the new T+A high-res streaming board, which provides maximum resolution as well as the facility to access various music services, Internet radio, inclusion in the home network via LAN and WLAN, USB Master Mode and HD streaming from network servers. The digital tuner offers FM, FM-HD and DAB+ capability, and delivers excellent sound. The T+A MP 2500 R also includes a high-quality Bluetooth streaming module for transferring music from mobile devices.  The machine is controlled using the FM1000 infra-red remote control handset, or – ideally – the T+A Music Navigator App. In contrast to many manufacturers’ Apps, this is capable of controlling every element of every function of T+A's machines. Not only does it display the information pertaining to the streaming client, but also the screen content of all sources, such as the station name and radio text when used in FM radio mode. As an option the FD 100 bi-directional RF remote control system can be used as well. It displays the full content of the device screen and coverart as well. Technology It is only natural that the SACD and CD continue to lose significance, as they are increasingly superseded by streamed content; a trend reflected very clearly in the huge success of T+A's multi-source players with their extensive streaming facilities. However, it is clear that T+A audiophile customers still wish to be able to play music from CD and SACD, because none of us wants to throw away our old collection, and in any case there is an undeniable charm in owning a tangible data medium. Infact the SACD is currently experiencing what we can only term a renaissance all over the world. Therefore T+A decided to develop a completely new, modern SACD mechanism incorporating the latest decoder technology, offering very short access times and outstanding error correction. It is capable of reading CD (PCM 44.1 kSps) and SACD (DSD 64 2.8 MHz) discs at the highest possible quality. T+A have invested a huge amount of effort in the mechanical design of the drive unit, incorporating a high-quality drive, double laser optics and heavy-duty motors. With the aim of eliminating all traces of interaction between the moving parts of the disc drive and the remainder of the player T+A's disc mechanism features a mechanical isolation. A heavy aluminium plate and a solid case, which act as a mass damping devices, thereby preventing any structural sound from the mounting surface finding its way to the electronics and the disc mechanism. The disc drawer runs on two accurately machined stainless steel pushrods, while the disc rests in a specially coated, high-quality ABS cradle.

Professional sound at its best.   The CD 3000 3000W Power Amplifier combines a linear power supply and a Class D output to deliver Crest power in a compact and cost-effective package. The CD 3000 is very versatile, whether powering nightclub systems or touring bands.   A traditional linear power supply is used in the CD Series. Because of the efficiency of the switching output stage, the transformer does not need to be big or heavy. This gives the CD Series an advantage in delivering huge power in a compact package. The efficiency of the output stage also gives the power supply the ability to handle heavy duty cycles without compromising sonic integrity.   Crest Audio's engineering has also maintained sonic quality while incorporating the advantages of a switching output stage. High-power Class-D topology is the key to its efficiency and low operating temperature. An additional advantage is its low power consumption.   Features     Dramatically reduced net weight     Linear power supply / Class D output stages     Very low current draw     Latest generation of high-speed, mosfet output devices     Cooled by variable-speed fan with back-to-front airflow     Inputs: balanced female XLR, 1/4" TRS combi jacks     Outputs: Speakon and five-way binding posts     Mode selector switch for stereo, parallel and bridged-mono operation     Ground-lift switch and rear panel circuit breaker     Recessed, stepped attenuators with removable knobs     16-gauge steel chassis, cast aluminum front panel     TourClass protection circuits     ACL (Active Clip Limiting) prevents speaker damage by providing gentle gain reduction when signal approaches the clipping threshold     IGM (Instantaneous Gain Modulation) monitors speaker loads to detect conditions that may over-stress output devices, allowing safe operation into nominal 2 Ohm speaker loads     AUTORAMP gradually increases gain to the attenuator level-settings when the amplifier is turned on, preventing abrupt turn-on levels     Other protection features include: short circuit, DC voltage, comprehensive thermal management, current in-rush turn-on/off transient and sub/ultrasonic input     Five-year warranty Specifications     Stereo Power 8 Ohms: 800 Watts     Stereo Power 4 Ohms: 1500 Watts     Stereo Power 2 Ohm: 1800 Watts     Bridged Power 8 Ohm: 3000 Watts     Maximum output voltage: 85V rms     Frequency response 1W @ 8 ohms: 20Hz—20khz, +/-1db     Power bw rated power @ 4 ohms, 1% THD+N: 20Hz—20khz, +/-1db     THD + N:     Imd; SMPTE/DIN 4:1 (60 Hz / 7 khz):     Damping factor: 400:1 @ 8 ohms (20 Hz to 100 Hz)     Input CMRR: >60db @ 1khz     Gain / input sensitivity @ 4 ohms: Selectable: x20, x40, or.775 V for full rated output power     Input impedance: >20kohms balanced, >10kohms unbalanced     Hum and noise: > -100db, A-weighted below rated power @ 4 ohms     Crosstalk: > -60db below max rated power (1khz)     Class: D     Power supply: Linear with toroid transformer     Circuit breaker rating (120V/230V): 20A /12A     Current draw (120VAC) 1/8 power, 4 ohms: 7.0A     1/3 power, 4 ohms: 14.0A     At idle: 1.5A     Thermal emissions 1/3 Power, 4 ohms BTU / hr: 1024     Cooling: Back to front via variable speed DC fan     Input connectors: balanced female XLR, 1/4" TRS, unbalanced 1/4" TS on Neutrik combo connectors     Output connectors: Five-way "touch-proof" binding posts and Neutrik Speakon connectors (which presents both outputs on the A Speakon for bi-amplified applications)     Controls: front panel: twin recessed stepped attenuators, power switch     Rear panel: signal ground-lift, mode select, gain select, circuit breaker     LED indicators: signal level (5 element bargraph), protect, active, ACL / IGM     Construction: 16-gauge steel chassis, cast aluminum front panel - optional handles available     Dimensions (W x H x D): 19" x 3.5" x 1

Truly exceptional equipment for its size, very powerful and impressive sound, perfect working condition. Could consider posting it internationally but please, ask for a quote as the postage differs from country to country and the amount in the description is for European Union only, thanks. This ad is for the amp only, no headphone is part of the sale! (if that is needed to be specified anymore) The CanAmp is a two-stage amplifier. While the first - voltage gain - stage is based on an integrated circuit of the highest audio pedigree, the second - power gain - stage is a single-ended, pure Class-A amplifier. It enables the CanAmp to drive virtually any headphones from 8 ohms up to 600 ohms. As its output power (at 8 ohm) is nearly 1W, the CanAmp could drive even a high-sensitivity loudspeaker! The unit has no internal wiring, and the signal path is kept to a minimum on its PCB. Its high-quality, 1 dB-tolerance Blue Alps volume pot goes through a further selection process during manufacturing to achieve an even tighter, 0.5 dB tolerance. The CanAmp not only has a line-level input but offers a line-level output to boot; it can therefore be connected to the TAPE MONITOR output of an amplifier, leaving the TAPE output free for additional components (MP3, MiniDisc, CDR, etc.). Gold-plated RCA terminals are used, and soldered directly onto the fibreglass PCB. Measured performance is excellent, the bandwidth going far beyond the audio range in both bass and treble, with low distortion into any normal headphone impedance and plentiful output. Output level isn’t everything and the Heed will in any case drive even harder, but this amp impressed not least on account of its large audio scale. Indeed, even with quite modest volume-control settings the soun just seemed big and generous, tonally, dynamically and even spatially. Once again, there’s a lot of detail, but the dominant impression is of size. Funnily enough, this was perhaps more pronounced with some unaccompanied solo vocals than with orchestra or mega-rock, but that just serves to remind one that the human voice can indeed be a very big instrument. Perhaps if you like your music a bit on the polite side this may seem a touch excessive, but we freely confess that we just loved it. Tonality is great too. Very wide soundstage. Open airy 3D sound. The soundtage seems to stretch way beyond the headphones with an airy feel each instrument separated in its own space. Imaging is well defined and the midrange and treble are at a level that makes listening for long periods very non-fatiguing. The Op-amp can be swapped for other types to give a different sound balance if preferred such as the AD823AN (more pronounced high end) or LM4562NA (more forward sound with better bass control). Having said that the supplied chip sounded the best overall to my ears. b'"'What blew me away is the depth of the music, it seems to have layer upon layer thus making the music three dimensional. This thickness is then presented with an almost reverb quality that makes you feel engulfed by the music. I am hearing stuff that I did not know was recorded in my Cd's because I could not hear it before.b'"' b'"'I don't care how big the amp or how big its price tag, the HEED is by far the best I have heard to date bar none.
