The Cutting iron is imprinted with Stanley's ca. 1930's Notched Rectangle trademark introduced in the 1930's. Fully 95% of the original finish remains on this extra clean example. A rare and very well preserved Stanley plane that is complete and in top collector quality condition. This is the nicest Stanley #51-52 chute board plane I have ever had. On the plane blade it reads Stanley New Britian, Conn., USA in a v shape as shown in photo. One of the pictures shows Patd 1-21-96 on the plane. The Japanning on the plane and the chute board are 95% t T are no cracks or breaks, but it does need a good cleaning. The wood handle is in excellent condition. The chute board and all its attachments are in great condition and work fine. T is no reserve. A great Stanley Chute Board and Plane for a collector of Stanley Planes.
