  This gorgeous pair of curtains in traditional Toile de Jouy is named " Pastorale" Boussac Romanex in medium to lightweight pure cotton, they are hand finished & would look great in any room and are in excellent condition with rufflette heading, freshly laundered & ready to hang.  Complete with 18 metal hooks & two tie backs that have a pink satin ribbon trim, which could be changed to match their new owner's decor. Unlined Literally translating to "Cloth from Jouy" (a little town near Versailles), this famous, pretty printed fabric is an important part of French history and savoir-faire. Along with idyllic, romantic landscape scenes, toile patterns were also used to tell a story. Some referenced tales of European mythology and others mirrored major events of the time. For the printing process, vignettes were originally carved on woodblocks, and after 1770, engraved on copper plates. MEASUREMENTS of each curtain    Length  2.7 meters = 106 ins with a 6 ins hem. A Vintage German Hanau Lamp attached to a Vintage wooden tripod. The lamp is made of polished aluminium. The height of the tripod and lamp is approx. 140mm or 990mm high. It can be adjusted to different positions to direct the light as needed. It has been rewired and altered to take a standard E27 light bulb. And works perfectly. It will be supplied without a bulb or plug. Please note that Vintage and Handmade items are sold “as is”. A rare "Original Hanau" lamp m anufactured in Germany from the 1920s/30s. It has minor some ware consistent with its age. It has been rewired and now has an E27 bulb holder and on /off switch so it can be used in a modern environment. In working order but will be supplied without a bulb or plug. Dimensions are approx. 37cm x 50cm high and weights approx. 4.7 kg. It is advised that the electrical components are checked prior to use. This is a small double quilt in scrap fabrics. It has been well made and has machine construction and hand quilting with star shaped motifs. The quilting is part machine part hand sewn. It is not quilted all over - just in random parts. It needs a little TLC but nothing major.  Not suitable for a perfectionist. Great for snuggles on the sofa. The top  fabric is 100% cotton with synthetic wadding and should not be ironed. The quilt dates from around 2000 and can be used on a bed or on a sofa. It is not factory made so it is not perfectly square and perfect but that is part of its charm.  There are some minor repairs which have been hand stitched - you will need to add a few of your own.  62 inch / 157 cm square approx *'*'*'*'*'*'*'*'*'*'*  In the shop you will find a variety of items, some new, some used a little and some lovely vintage finds.  Sizing differs from brand to brand and some items have the wrong size label.
