Electronic parts have been upgraded by Roger West himself to Toroid 2 level one month ago. I've made a custom wood frame to accomodate new transformers (which are too big to get inside the original frame). Speaker's impendance has been raised as well.   This is the only pair of A3 upgraded to Toroid 2 level worldwide (as Toroid 2 upgrade has never been made before for A3 speakers). New toroidal transformers and higher sensibility make them easy to drive with any decent amplifier. So, this particular pair of A3 is not only in a virtualy new condition, they also sound better than new. The sound can be described by one word only: glorious !  I have compared Soundlab A3 to Quad ESL 2912 and Stax ELS 8X in my room. Soundlab are MUCH better in every possible way. They have completely different sound dispersion pattern, which makes them sound more lively, more organic, more life-like, and more dynamic. They will create in your room a spectacular gigantic immersion-space, much bigger and more lively than any other speaker regardless of the price. I'm very glad to propose you one of the best guitar I ever played, a Tokai ST60 with U pickups. In mint state in top of that. I'm hesitating to sell this one but since I need funds I'm not closed to a good price of sell. It's an extraordinary instrument, warmest pickups I ever played. It has the level of fullerton pickups, same era. With a distortion pedal and a marshall amp it really a wall of sound you receive in the face. It's just huge. Woody and powerfull. If you hate your neightbours you can send them to hell with that. The neck has oranged with time, everything is in perfect state, no noticeable marks on the guitar. Maybe the frets, they're a bit used but nothing special about it, I'd say 8 over 10. Guitar is light, resonant. I have it in my heart, I won't sell it for a lower price. A soft case will be included. I think I sell it only because I know there are ST80s around. I sell a set of 2 JP-08 + all boxes and packing + paper manual + 1 midi cable + 1 audio cable + 2 power supply and USB cables + 2 brackets. The first JP-08 is in perfect condition. No scratches. Like new. The second one has some minor scratches due to a cable that was placed in the box by mistake.  These two JP-08 are working perfectly. So this set is ready for a full 8 voices JP-08 in chain mode like the original Jupiter 8. The first thing that strikes you when you see the JP-08 is how professional it looks and feels - it's a diminutive metal fronted, plastic box with sturdy feeling short throw, orange-lit sliders and solid dials. As the unit is so compact, it fits nicely into a small rucksack, giving you a lot of sonic power to work with. On the move, on sessions or on stage this is a real bonus. Selecting patches is done Jupiter-8 style, with eight preset buttons to the left (64 patches total) and eight patch presets (which contain upper/lower/dual patches) to the right which all glow a pinky-orange. Type in the patch you want and off you go, though there's no patch naming so you need to remember numbers. The Patch Number/Patch Preset buttons also work in combination with the Manual and Dual buttons to select hidden functions (as listed in the compact manual) and to choose from solo (legato mono) unison (stacked mono) and poly (4-voice chord) modes. The buttons also act as 16-step buttons for the sequencer. The sound is so fantastic ! The JP-08 Boutique is identical to the actual Roland Jupiter 8 in sound, and editing, capabilities.  It uses the acclaimed Boutique ACB (Analogue Circuit Behaviour) modelling technology to emulate the original Jupiter-8's circuitry and the way those circuits interact/behave.  Sonically, the JP-08 gets right in the ballpark of the original Jupiter-8 and displays that recognizable smooth yet gritty character in terms of its filters (HPF and 12/24dB LPF), modulation and waves. I have never been so pleased with a synthesizer purchase as the JP-08 in 25 years of production experience.  One JP-08 has  4 voices max, but because this auction is for 2 JP-08, you can link them in chain mode for 8 voices.  The "chain mode" synchronizes all master parameters to the slave one.   With a master keyboard, 2 Roland JP-08 are the way to go for a real Jupiter 8 sound, and editing, especially in DUAL mode. 10/10 rating !
