Date of release is unknow but could be (with  all reserve)  in the 1962 - 1963 period, (first USA release  in 1962) Ce disque pressé pour la France est  très rare ETAT DU VINYLE - CONDITIONS  VG + pour le disque  - Record grading VG+   Used but  Plays very well and sounds great Just very light crackling at some points. Record surfaces show almost no signs of wear, are very clean. One or two very light scratches (light speedle mark that don't affect at all the good listening.) Has not been very listened before...could be VG++ but prefer say VG+. Very Good Plus (VG+) – Quelques défauts sont acceptables, mais rien qui compromet réellement l'enregistrement, ceci visuellement ou à l'audition. On peut avoir (visuellement)  un petit frottement sur le disque, de lègères marques inaudibles, un léger bruit de crépitement en fond. See photo: The front of the sleeve stays a cover still clean, with a nice glossy black and white photo of the body floating and just with wear on the corners, on the sides, a few on the spine and with a little and light circular mark from the record. On the back little damage in relation to age: two small parts of the cardboard flaps are missing. One flap has been recently glued for fixing..More photos on request.” Essais sur ma platine sensible, très bonne écoute, relief, puissance, avec les  très légers crépitements des vieux disques par moments   Localisés tout au début  face A et B, suivi de  crépitements faibles et juste  par moments sur les autres morceaux. Aucune marque profonde, très faible usure, pas de zones claires. Le disque est très beau. Il a été nettoyé récemment au détergent et rincage eau deminéralisé, mais il est possible qu'il reste encore un peu de vieille poussière incrustée dans les sillons car le disque a été longtemps stocké sans être joué. DESPITE ALL THEIR previous trials and tribulations, Legs Diamond released their sixth album in 1990 to wide acclaim, certainly attracting more attention and publicity than their first four records released in the 1970s and 80s. For Legs it was an incredible achievement, having been cast aside for much of the late 80s as a band without a prominent sales base or indeed any chance of a revival. Fortunately, as an underground favourite amongst the cognoscenti, their reputation preceded them with a new record deal (this time on Metal Blade Records) and a chance to actually make an album recorded with precision and finesse rather than pieced together on a shoestring budget. Issued in 1990, the record was considered a real return to form, many saying that it was the best release since their 70s heyday. It also signalled the welcome return of original guitarist Roger Romeo back into the band after several years pursuing other opportunities. With Rick Sanford supplying high octane vocals the band looked and sounded better than ever, with a creative surge that gave birth to twelve ‘gold standard’ songs’ including a blistering re-recording of ‘Stage Fright’ from their debut album. Pushing the envelope even more, the band were now in a financial position to finally tour the UK after years of being unable to afford such a trip. Davis would have been a perfect fit at Stax or Atlantic in the mid- to late '60s, but his recording career didn't get rolling until the early '70s, when his brand of gruff but passionate blues-based R&B was losing ground in favor of funkier sounds. And while producer Allen Orange consistently drew fine performances from Davis in the studio and gave him powerful and sympathetic backing, Orange's record labels (House of Orange and Seventy-Seven Records) didn't have much muscle in the marketplace. Davis recorded for other labels over the course of his career, including Ace and Luna, but they didn't fare much better with him than Orange's imprints, and Davis was little more than a cult figure when he died in 1984 at the age of 38. The Lost Soul Man collects 25 tracks Davis recorded during his tenure with Orange, and while the presence of repeated alternate takes and unreleased tracks that didn't get the studio polish they need dull the impact of this set just a bit, it's still a potent testament to his talents. At his best, Davis' singing suggests the cool passion of Bobby "Blue" Bland blended with the gritty fire of Wilson Pickett, and he's good enough to merit both comparisons; the slow slink of "I'm Gonna Change," the lover's regret of "I've Got to Pay the Price," the potent groove of "Ain't Worrying About Jody," and the primal shouter "Hot Buttered Love" are all stellar performances and leave no doubt this man could and should have had some hits under more favorable circumstances. While Charly's Sad Shades of Blue offers a broader portrait of Geater Davis' career, The Lost Soul Man does restore some of the man's best moments in the studio to circulation, and fans of great Southern soul will want to give this a thorough listen. ~ Mark Deming

Yes, some of the songs are among the best recorded by Liverpool's finest post-punk band, but the inclusion of two bizarre covers doesn't help the collection reach any sort of classic status. Perhaps WEA Records thought fans would see The Cutter as a best-of collection, which it isn't; maybe they thought those same fans would clamor for the covers of songs by the Rolling Stones and the Beatles. To start with, the album material isn't necessarily the best of. While the songs are a just-decent sample of some of the finer moments from the band's glory days, Songs to Learn and Sing and Ballyhoo are both better introductions. Albums covered include Crocodiles, Heaven Up Here, Porcupine, Ocean Rain, and Echo & the Bunnymen. There are classics here to be sure: "The Cutter," "A Promise," and "Ocean Rain" are all glorious slices. But there are glaring omissions among these classics, including "Lips Like Sugar," "The Killing Moon," "Bring On the Dancing Horses," and "Never Stop." The Cutter might be a nice find in the used CD bin, if one is looking for one particular track and an assortment of other okay songs. The live covers certainly don't justify the album, as they serve merely to break up an otherwise interesting collection. "Paint It Black" sees Ian McCulloch butchering the classic song like a campy vampire; it actually starts out promising, but McCulloch falls apart about a minute and half in. "All You Need Is Love" just sounds stupid, as if the band had only been rehearsing it for a day; there's no passion in the performance. The Cutter might be a nice find in the used CD bin, if one is looking for one particular track and an assortment of other okay songs. The live covers certainly don't justify the album, as they serve merely to break up an otherwise interesting collection. "Paint It Black" sees Ian McCulloch butchering the classic song like a campy vampire; it actually starts out promising, but McCulloch falls apart about a minute and half in. "All You Need Is Love" just sounds stupid, as if the band had only been rehearsing it for a day; there's no passion in the performance. ''LIGHTNIN''' the blues of LIGHTNIN' HOPKINS - PRESTIGE BVLP 1019 -  Original MONO 1961 - Premier pressage - First pressing -  État : Occasion - Used VG+ (record), VG (sleeve) ETAT/ CONDITIONS Disque/ Vinyl record VG + avec tres belle qualité de son délivrée par l'enregistrement mono (puissance, relief, présence voix et instruments, etc..) Un peu de légers, très faibles crépitements par moments et peu fréquents, avec la dynamique du son, la voix, instruments etc... ils sont à peine audible. Les basses sortent merveilleusement. Quelques très fines rayures - griffures superficielles  sans conséquence sur la qualité audio. Pourrait être grader en EX sans souci mais je préfère rester VG + Je l'ai testé sur ma Sony PS V715 avec les basses à mi - puissance et il joue d'une manière fantastique et envoutante. Un des plus grands enregistrement de blues qui n'ai jamais été fait et que j'ai entendu.    VG+: Quelques défauts sont acceptables, mais rien qui compromet réellement l'enregistrement, ceci visuellement ou à l'audition. On peut avoir (visuellement)  un petit frottement sur le disque, de lègères marques inaudibles, un léger bruit de crépitement en fond.
