Made out of a cast iron with decorative bent wire and glass on the side it is in good vintage condition. The wiring will certainly need to be checked. All of the glass is in good shape and the metal is in good shape. It has a slight patina to it but certainly could be repainted all black if you would like. These style of pendant lights are meant to mirror the large streetlights in France. They are found outside every Every home door and are made to light the way and to receive a guest. The French love the Spanish revival style for outdoor lighting. So much of what they have is made out of steel and iron. It looks very nice with a stone exterior, and gives a timelessness to the fixtures as well. They could just as easily have a candle lit inside as the modern light bulb.
