DURING THE mid 1970s the popularity of progressive rock was at an all time high with acts such as Yes, Jethro Tull and, especially, ELP enjoying huge album sales and playing to sold out crowds the world over. Of course, shadowing these giants of prog were a number of young upstarts keen to make a challenge for gold and glory, not least of these were American mid-west contenders Starcastle. The band’s carefully executed debut album attracted a number of converts, selling something in the region of a quarter of a million copies, resulting in Epic records taking a keener interest. In an effort to up the ante, so to speak, the band was sent into the studio (Morin Heights, Quebec) to record their next album with flamboyant and creative British producer Roy Thomas Baker (Queen, Journey, Foreigner). ‘Fountains Of Light’ is arguably Starcastle’s finest moment. Baker’s production is meticulous yet forceful, allowing the band to stretch out and take on the competition without sacrificing integrity or a natural melodic song writing ability. Packed out with hooks to die for and submerged in complex yet accessible arrangements, the album oozes charm and class. Description of present selling Horace SILVER «The Stylings of Silver» BLUE NOTE BLP1562, New York USA labels.1962 Mono issue deep groove and b'"'earb'"' in dead wax both sides. Audio quality is great with rich clear Blue note sound. It's a nice Horace Silver quintet, in my opinion the surprising association of Art Farmer on trumpet and Hank Mobley on tenor fit very well. Side1: Ex+ (9/10), Visual Ex with some superficial unfeelable sleeve marks, great Ex+ audio. My initial signature in pencil paper (removable) on right side of label. Side2: Ex+ (9/10), Visual Ex with some superficial unfeelable sleeve marks, great Ex+ audio. Cover: VG (6/10), Not too bad at first sight but downgraded because of 3 damages on seams, 5 cm tearing on left top seam and center spine and a 5 cm repearable splitting on center bottom seam. There is also little tearing on bottom seam corners and a touch of stain on upper back. (see photos). My grading scale is simple with letters and figures to improve understanding. I grade each side of the record separately (first side then second side) and in the end the cover. I precise the grading with specific informations for each side and cover. I do not grade inner sleeve (possible tearing or tape on it). If you’re interested in inner sleeve condition, feel free to ask… The scale of grading is: VG-(5/10) VG(6/10) VG+(7/10) EX(8/10) EX+(9/10) To be more precise EX+: a superb record with extremely few light flaws if any, maximum of 10 seconds of repetitive tics per side or less. EX: a very nice records with few marks, maximum of 30 seconds of repetitive tics per side or less. VG+: still a nice record but with a bit more marks with a few lightly feelable, maximum of 1mn30 seconds of repetitive tics per side or less. VG: a record with some marks feelable or not, no skips still enjoyable with portions of background tics, maximum of 2 to 3 mn of repetitive tics per side. VG-: a very used record, not trashed but with numerous feelable marks, still no skips but expect maximum of 5 mn of repetitive tics per side or a bit less. Very strict regarding collectors should only bid on EX and EX+ records. I didn't have a record cleaning machine and all records could benefit an ultrasonic cleaning. To improve sound, records should also be listened to with a stylus in good shape (less than a year). Ils reposent sur un piètement tripode.     Époque : Fin XIXème Dimensions : H :54 x l :38cm   Le chandelier est une pièce de mobilier d’église présent dans chaque église et posé sur l’autel.    Le grand chandelier à plusieurs branches prend le nom de candélabre.   Son utilisation remonte aux origines même de l’église et est lié de manière évidente et indissoluble au symbole de la Lumière comme expression de Foi, Espoir et Résurrection du Christ. Le chandelier était autrefois posé par terre et uniquement dans une période successive a été disposé sur l’autel avant le début de la célébration pour être rangé après la Messe.    Au Xème siècle les Statuta Ecclesiae antiquae décrétèrent que l’acolyte sur le point de prononcer ses vœux devait recevoir dans ses mains un chandelier avec le cierge.   Le Concile de Trente établit une codification très précise pour le service d’autel, composé de six chandeliers à utiliser pendant la Messe et sept chandeliers pour le Pontifical du Pape ou pour celui d’un Évêque.
