Of course, Zeiss couldn't make an ordinary, boring polarizer for its king-of-kings Contarex line. No. Instead we have this monument to overengineering, with its geared turning mechanism. This is the most tactical-looking accessory to feature on the Camera Sanctuary so far. If you really want to "shoot" your SLX, this is what you need. Here we have an example of one of Pentax's wonderfully-built Super Takumar portrait lenses. This one shows some cosmetic wear but glass and mechanics are in good condition. Glass is clean and clear (just the usual dust), no haze, no fungus. Focus and aperture ring have the superb feel typical of this generation of Super Takumar lenses. Iris blades are clean and snappy. Here we have an example of Pentax's fast portrait lens. This is from the generation of K-mount lenses that Pentax made before introducing the "M" K-mounts: build quality is a little higher than those later lenses. Unfortunately, this one has some fungus, mainly on on the edges of the inside of the front element. I suspect the performance impact would be subtle if any is visible, but I have not tested it. There is also a dent in the filter thread, so filters are not an option. Otherwise, things are good: focus is smooth across the range, aperture selector clicks nicely at each stop, iris blades are clean and snappy, cosmetic condition (apart from the ding) is very good.  Be sure to check out my other sales. I could count the number of lenses that I've come across in this striking color on one hand, even if I'd lost four fingers of that hand in a terrible woodworking accident. This handsome Danubia has some minor internal haze that would probably not impact performance, as well a lot of hairline scratching on the front element that definitely would not be a problem in real-world use. This storied portrait lens made in the eastern Zeiss factory (and thus prohibited from using the Zeiss name for export) is in good condition overall but does have a single spot of debris, probably fungus, on an internal element (visible in the second photo). I would not expect this to have much if any impact on performance since it's near the front of the lens and relatively small. Otherwise, glass is clean and clear, coatings look good. This VSL 3-E seems to have some kind of electronics problem. The viewfinder display lights up "60" with the other speeds showing flashing dots, no matter what the settings. Shutter fires at specific speeds, but in A mode mirror locks up. Cosmetically, the camera is in like-new condition. It was acquired from the stock of a former camera store, and my guess is it was a return that failed shortly after the original owner bought it. This is a beautiful looking Rolleicord Va with a couple of minor problems. The bad news: - There's something visible in the taking lens with a flashlight test, probably a bit of old fungus. Likely not enough to impact real world performance, but I have to disclose it. - Shutter sticks below 1/30th sec.  The good news: - Lenses otherwise look very nice, no marks or scratches. - Shutter works fine at speeds faster than 1/15th sec. - Film transport works, feels good. - Film counter works and resets. - Aperture control works, lever feels good. - Shutter speed selector feels good.  - Ground glass is fairly clean. - Magnifying loupe works. - Back fits nicely. - Viewing hood opens and collapses neatly. This super-speed normal lens will mount on later FD cameras as well as the FL cameras it was made for, and of course your mirrorless camera of choice with an FD adapter. This example was improperly stored and has some fungus on internal elements, but apparently not enough to significantly impact performance, even when shooting into the light (see test shots, taken with a Sony A7). Apart from that, the lens is in very good condition: no scratches or marks on glass, clean and snappy iris blades, firm but smooth focus, precise clicks on aperture ring. Filter thread is good. Here we have Hasselblad's iconic camera with its standard 80mm Planar from Zeiss, in good user condition with two small issues of note. - Catch for the waist level finder is tricky, sometimes magnifier deploys on first press (rather than second as it should) and causes the flaps to bind when they flip up.  - Lens has a fungus spot (visible in last photo). It should not impact performance.  Otherwise, everything is good. - Wind-on is smooth. - Shutter fires on all speeds. Shutter blades are clean. - Focus is smooth. - Aperture ring clicks nicely at each stop. - No marks on front or rear lens coatings. Just the mentioned fungus and the usual dust.  - Good cosmetic condition overall. * A note about fungus in lenses: I am as clear as possible about how badly affected a lens is by fungus. I have a 30-day return policy and returns cost me money, so the last thing I want is for you to be unpleasantly surprised. If I say the amount of fungus in a lens should not impact performance, I mean it. OK, this is something special. It came in with a Minolta AF-S (also for sale separately). It appears to be a custom, one-of-a-kind leather case designed specifically for that camera. It appears to be made of something like ostrich leather, crazy as that sounds. The stitching is precise, and the inside has a soft lining. There is a cutout along the top rear edge that provides access to the AF-S's viewfinder and flash release. I am almost positive this is not a commercial product: there is no branding, and there is no tripod screw attachment in the bottom of the case, yet it precisely holds an AF-S (as seen in the pictures). This little gem of a camera is in good condition and appears to be fully functional. Shutter fires on all speeds. The three viewfinder windows are clean and clear. Lens looks good. This is a nice example of version of the B8 with a variable shutter (the B-8VS). The camera appears to work: motor runs properly at different speeds, viewfinder is reasonably clear, viewfinder frame size changing works. Lens are clean and clear, apertures click precisely. Turret switches nearly. Focus on the 12.5 mm is smooth, but the grease seems to have hardened in the 35 mm lens -- I can't turn it away from infinity. If you want this, you know more about it than I do. I believe this is the adapter side of Sigma's YS universal mount system, but I'm not sure what kind of camera mount "T3" is. Here we have a classic Gitzo Gilux Week-End tripod in good condition. All adjustments feel good and lock properly. Legs stay in place with perfect resistance, no slop or looseness. There is some normal cosmetic wear and the plastic collars have crumbled off of some of the locking rings, but the bare metal actually feels nicer anyway. I'm also including what appears to be an adapter (5th photo) for offsetting the mounting point by a few centimeters -- there's no part number on it but the finish matches the tripod exactly so I assume it's also from Gitzo.    Be sure to check out my other sales. This Rolleiflex T is in very good condition and appears to be fully functional. Glass is clean and clear, with no haze, no fungus. There is a small scratch on the viewing lens but no marks that I can see on the taking lens. Shutter fires on all speeds, sounds good. Focus is smooth throughout the range. Viewing screen (split prism) is in good condition. Viewing hood pops up and folds down neatly as it should, magnifying loupe works. Back fits nicely, locks properly.  This is one of the later Ts, which supports shooting 16 6x4.5 cm frames on a roll of 120 film, as well as the more typical 6x6 12 exposure configuration. The mask for shooting 6x4.5 is included and installed in the camera -- be sure to pop it out if you want to shoot 6x6! Removing the mask automatically sets the frame counter to 12 mode. Straight out of the GDR comes this wide-angle screw mount lens, in acceptable user condition. Glass is reasonably clean with some internal dust -- no fungus, no haze. This is a reasonably nice-looking example of the pre-Ai version of Nikon's classic moderately-fast portrait lens. Glass is clean and clear: no haze, no fungus, good coatings. It's not clear if the camera is actually metering but the display is just dead, or if the whole metering system is malfunctioning. This classic Mamiya interchangeable lens TLR looks very well-used, but it appears to be fully functional and is sold as working. Here is what I can tell you: - The shutter in the 80 mm lens fires on all speeds, sounds good. - Glass is in acceptable condition, with cleaning marks and micro-scratches that should not impact real-world performance. No haze, no fungus. - Focus gearing is smooth. - Bellows look OK. - The chimney viewfinder is damaged at one corner (see photos) but still attaches securely to the body. When flipping from 6x to 3.5x, the magnifier sometimes sticks and blocks the top 5% of the view -- jiggling the knob will allow it to settle back completely. This Praktica B-mount lens has some very mild internal haze, unlikely to impact performance much if at all. The front element shows some hairline coating scratches, again, nothing to worry about in terms of function. Focus is smooth, aperture selector clicks evenly, iris blades are clean and snappy. This Rolleiflex 3.5 F appears to be fully functional and is in good user condition.  - Lenses are clean and clear: no fungus, no haze, no marks.  - Shutter fires on all speeds. - Meter is working and accurate. - Aperture works properly. - Selectors and controls feel good. - Focus is smooth across the range. - Back opens neatly and closes tightly. - Wind-on is smooth. My understanding is that this camera's back is equipped with a special pressure plate that can accept a glass insert to maximize film flatness (hence the bulge towards the bottom of the back). However, the glass plate is not present (the camera can be used normally without the glass insert). This Rolleimat AF-M has an unusual problem -- it advances the film twice when you press the shutter, and it even does this when the power switch is in the off position. Apart from that, the camera is in beautiful condition: essentially no signs of wear, clean and clear lens, flash fires, battery compartment is clean. So, quite a treasure if you can fix it.
