Indeed, this is certainly the first black Pellix manufactured, perhaps a test since the engravings were not painted white. The non-QL Pellix (quick load) series was replaced in 1966 by the Pellix QL, so there are very few examples in chrome and even fewer in black (-10 perhaps).
