This is an odd shaped piece of Coober Pedy Opal Rubbed (unfinished) Gem material with an exposed section of bright green flash with sparkle underneath on one edge. The piece is 8.8 Carats and measures 22mm in length and approx 7mm thick, the width tapers up from 6mm to 9mm.  I tried to show the depth of the gem material on then of the stone in the pictures to show that you may want to work or polish into a gem.
