Opaque clear pressed glass with original aluminium gallery with bayonet bulb fitting. Gallery could be polished up. Thank you Very rare and impressive art deco french floor lamp from Maison Gallois (Gallois & Cie was the name before ww2), a french compagny born in 1914. This lamp was built in the 1930/40 years. This is NOT a copy or modified but an original item. This is really very very rare. I sell lights since 1989 and I had never seen a beauty like this. The size is impressive: 30" 3/4 width (78cm) / 45" 1/3 tall (115cm) / 19" depth (48cm) Höhe 115cm Breite 78cm Tiefe 48cm Very nice looking condition: all made with metal, no paint, natural original finish, just cleaned. The patina is awesome, please look at the pictures. The glass is original and perfect. Good working condition: rewired (a footswitch has been added) and ready to work. No bulb included. I changed the large old socket to a B22 edison bayonet socket because it is easy to find a B22 bulb. However the original XXL socket is included in this sale, it is really a large one! (please look at the picture with a B22 on the left to compare). The bulb in the lamp for the pictures is a 100 watts and the light is very nice with this power and seams to be 300 watts only with 100 watts. It is possible to use the power of your choice. The original bulb was a 200 watts 1930 Edison bulb with extra large socket but it was not in working condition. It is easy to change the bulb: two screws on the back to open, that's all. The lamp is very nice as floor lamp but it is possible to fix it on the ceilling or on a wall. Must be fixed by a professional due to the weight of the lamp, over 20 kg. Amazing art deco (1920 - 1930) hinged modernist table lamp signed (Charles) SCHNEIDER. The lamp base has a container and mades of over gilted bronze and steel decoration pattern. Actually, I sale exactly the same lamp for if you want to buy a pair (see last picture). And a chandelier with same glass shade design.  See my others items. The glass shade is best of quality and offer a gorgeous and highly geometric design, with flowers. Surface of the glass is acid satinated providing an interesting transparency effect. Signed embossed on the glass shade: SCHNEIDER. Very original item !!! Perfect condition. The lamp just works fine.  The socket is original. Electrical cable is modern, light switch and power socket are vintage. The socket has got a ball joint. And the pivotable pole moving up and down on the steel bar.   See pictures, there are an integral part of description. Height: 26,78". Depth: 7,09". glass shade, height: 5,12". Cette lampe fait partie d'une paire, et je vends également la deuxième actuellement sur. Je vends également un lustre - suspension avec une verrerie qui comporte le même décor. C'est une lampe de très belle qualité.  La monture est constitué d'une base, formant vide-poche, en bronze dorée, avec un mât un acier, sur lequel peut monter ou descendre une potence en bronze, qui peut se fixer avec une vis décorative. La douille est montée également sur une rotule qui permet d'orienter la lumière et la tulipe dans la direction que l'on veut. Hauteur totale: 68 cm. Profondeur maximum: 18 cm. Tulipe: hauteur,  13 cm et diamètre,  10 cm. La monture, dont la forme est plutôt classique et inspiré des lampes 1900 ou Art Nouveau a été traitée de façon très moderniste. Les détails décoratifs sont épurés. Et la dorure apporte un côté raffiné qui est relevé par le contraste avec la barre d'acier. Voir les photos. La verrerie est très épaisse, en haut relief, avec un décor géométrique rayonnant évoquant des éclairs, souligné d'enroulement inspirés de fleurs stylisées et de pastilles. Toute la surface a été traitée à l'acide afin de magnifier la lumière. Signée moulée en relief dans le décor: SCHNEIDER. C'est un décor très rare à trouver. La lampe est prête à l'emploi. En effet, la douille est d'origine, par contre la prise et l'interrupteur sont vintage, et le fil électrique est moderne. Petite déformation du socle, qui ne comporte plus sous le socle sa moleskine d'origine, et a perdu son lestage.   Lampe curieuse, élégante, pouvant former une paire avec la deuxième identique qui est à vendre.                            Gorgeous,original French shade.  Art Deco/1930's. (ref O5). Nice shaped shade with a windmill and trees scene on it.  White inside and blue pleated lower half. Lovely, interesting shade.  Good vintage condition, no cracks or breaks.  These shades are pressed glass so may have some press marks, this is from original manufacture from the mould.  Made in an era when not every items that came out of the factory was perfect, each one a bit unique - for me it's part of their charm and proof of age. All my shades are sold with a brass gallery fitting for hanging, hole in gallery is 28mm. Does not include bulb holder. Possible chipping around the neck, this does not show when gallery is fitted.
