Minuscule boîtier solide L 9,2cm l 3,7cm h 4cm hors boutons, 172grs sans pile. Réglages 4 boutons volume, gain, tone et low cut. La grande plage de gain va de l'overdrive presque clean à la disto. Le son s'éclaircit très bien au volume de la guitare. En agissant sur les réglages tone et low cut on peut avoir un son bien épais ou tranchant, voire sombre. Grosse polyvalence. Réglages habituels 3 boutons level, drive et tone, plus un bouton b'"'fatb'"'. Permet un son presque clair avec le drive à zéro, jusqu'à une franche overdrive. Son pêchu et tranchant, conserve bien les attaques et la définition même drive à fond. Le bouton b'"'fatb'"' épaissit le son en renforçant les fréquences graves. J'ai lu quelque part qe la SDR-5 serait d'inspiration TS808. Comme toutes les Providence en petit boîtier, le bypass se fait sur un seul contact ce qui paraît-il améliore la fiabilité et la qualité sonore. Il y a pas mal de démos sur you tube. Noah'Sark est une de ces nouvelles marques japonaises de ce siècle et fait de l'excellent matériel à prix (relativement) accessible. Réglages 2 boutons level et drive. La grande plage de gain va d'un overdrive crunch crémeux bluesy à la disto. Level et gain n'interagissent quasiment pas, ce qui facilite les réglages. Il faut régler level vers 14h pour retrouver le niveau sans effet. Noah Sark a en fait réédité l'OD-1 Boss de1977, en l'améliorant: true bypass, composants triés et assemblés main. Voir les prix actuels de l'OD-1...! Il y a des démos sur you tube, je recommande celle de Junko Sugawara (elle doit avoir un contrat avec la marque), la plus explicite (configuration micro et réglages pédale en surimpression).
