Pentax ME 35mm film SLR camera, with Pentax 50mm f2 standard lens, front cap and Vivitar zoom lens. Tested with film, in full working order. This body has external signs of wear and tear and age, and a small dent on the top, but no cracks or other obvious damage. The shutter fires and winds on nicely, and the speeds are good. The viewfinder and focusing screen have some minor dust (and one larger blob, which is very close to the edge), but overall they are bright, clear and sharp. The viewfinder lightmeter lights work well. The mirror and lens mount are good, with minor wear, the film chamber is clean and the shutter is intact. I have installed brand new light seals in the film chamber, and a new mirror damper foam. The flash hotshoe and self-timer are tested and working. This camera uses 2 x LR44 1.5v batteries, not included. The Pentax 50mm lens is also in good condition and working well. There are minor signs of use on the glass and a few specks of dust, but the glass is good overall and it's very sharp. The iris is working well and the focus ring is smooth. I have tested this camera with film, it produces sharp, well-exposed results with even frame spacing. Finally I'm including a Vivitar 28-70mm zoom lens as a free extra. This has a few surface marks on the glass and some minor fungus, but it still works very well and is a good option when you need a wider or closer view than the standard lens. Pentax Super Takumar 50mm 1.4 8 Elements, Near Mint, Focus smooth and precise, Aperture clean and snappy This is the sought after early version made from 8 elements in order to beat the Zeiss Planar. Its a marvelous lens with finest bokeh. As it is not getting enough use i prefer to sell it to someone who hopefully enjoys working with it, it's a gem. This is a vintage lens, but it's condition is more than excellent, no dings, no scratches, no haze, no cleaning marks. Maybe some tiny internal dust. As good as it gets.

You will be able to experience an unmatched image quality(the sensor is still ranked an all-time #2 in Dxomark with an excellent score of 101, still dwarfing any full format wonder of 2020…), with a body build to last and stay with you for serious studio work, or the wildest adventure outdoor setup. Ricoh-Pentax is legendary for its weather sealing, and so is this body. To be honest, it is only for health issues that I am selling. I tried the Hasselblad mirrorless X1D, the fuji GFX50s (dreadfull experience with the laziest AF in the world and a poor battery life), theGFX100 (much better experience, but I wasn’t impressed by image quality and rendering…must be the glass), and I always come back to the Pentax 645z. I have never been impressed by Fuji GFX image quality. I Liked the Leica S (again it must be the glass and the lens design that make the real differences), the Hasselblad was interesting, but way too expensive comparing with the Pentax, not even considering the weather sealing and the very long list of ergonomic treats you get from Pentax engineers. It is about creating images and only this, it is not a smartphone. It’s a photographer tool, not a toy. In 2018 I was disappointed by Canon full-frame offering. The5d4 was too expensive and there wasn’t a gap in quality from any canon full Frame since 5d2 and I decided to enter the medium format world with the 645z. I already tried it in Japan in 2015 and I said “well, this would be nice…”. After having bought this camera with literally undying battery life (what a refreshment comparing with all electronic newest camera), I just went to my garden and started right away the 120mm macro. I was dumb because I had no AF at all, but discovered the cleverest mechanism for AF/MF switch to date:sliding the focus ring. There is a slight click and I was all set. Yes the screw motor lenses are a bit noisy, but it’s nice and at the first picture of a random blossoming flower…God almighty, it was like a facepalm, struck by beauty and sheer quality. I decided to keep on the Pentax 645z journey and collect some lenses. The 28-45mm was very soon my favorite landscape lens,equivalent to 22-35mm, extraordinary quality, stabilized, totally weather sealed…those words should surprise you as medium format+stabilized lens+weather sealing…seldom go together. Then came the 90mm macro f2.8, stabilized as well and weather sealed. This may simply be the best lens I’ve ever used for portrait work, incredibly smooth yet detailed. Bokeh is one thing but volumes,transition, tones, textures, it’s just amazing for portrait, and pack shots as well. I wanted to try tele lenses, and acquired the 300mm “star”lens. Build like real lenses with metal, feels solid. Image quality was amazing too, I capture incredible shots of tigers with it, and this lens can really tell stories and add a unique identity. All the lenses are incredible, sharp, and each with unique though I must admit the 150mm f2.8, even though hailed as the portrait king by some other photographers, was often left on the shelf. Please look Pentax forum for reviews on these marvelous lenses. Thanks to the incredible wedding photographers Jeff and Michelle (hi to them!) I discover the craft of using 80s East-Germany Isco lenses for the Pentax and I assembled my favorite lens with a 135mm F2projector lens. This one is really a collectible, manual focus only, it cannot go to the infinity (but for portrait, who cares?) require a good amount of focus skills and mastery of yourself, but it is a very rewarding lens. After all,Helmut Newton shot in medium format with manual focus only, and look at his work…With this wide aperture and unique look, it sad to let it go. This conveniently lightweight long prime for Pentax's K mount is in very good condition. Glass is clean and clear, iris blades are oil-free and snappy, aperture ring clicks precisely at each stop, focus is smooth and even. The only flaw is a dent on the edge of the built-in retractable hood -- this is purely cosmetic, as the hood still slides in and out without a problem. The 52mm filter ring is separate from the hood and is undamaged -- I'm including a Vivitar 1A filter in the sale. Genuine rear cap and generic pinch front cap also included.

Here we have an example of one of Pentax's wonderfully-built Super Takumar portrait lenses. This one shows some cosmetic wear but glass and mechanics are in good condition. Glass is clean and clear (just the usual dust), no haze, no fungus. Focus and aperture ring have the superb feel typical of this generation of Super Takumar lenses. Iris blades are clean and snappy.
